The war of words between Cardi B and the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) has taken another turn.

The rapper clapped back at DHS online, shining the spotlight on a trending topic after being called out for her alleged past acts. The whole issue began after she threatened to deal with any Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agent who might disrupt her "Little Miss Drama Tour" with a raid.

In less than two hours, Cardi clapped back, fuelling the online brawl and creating another line of thought. She wrote, quoting DHS's tweet, "If we're talking about drugs, let's talk about Epstein and friends drugging underage girls to rape them. Why y'all don't wanna talk about the Epstein files?"

Some users called out the actress for her music, which features strong words about drugs, stripping, and sex. A large number of the comments were filled with members of the online audience claiming that Trump's administration did a greater deal with releasing the Epstein files compared to former presidents Obama and Biden.

A notable comment with over a thousand likes echoed that high-profile people have been observably silent on this topic, and Cardi was the first to speak out.

They stated that everyone with a platform should not keep silent, but create more awareness. Some users stated that the rapper should address the issue raised by DHS rather than using the Epstein files as a means to deflect.

Cardi made a statement during her show's opening night in California, which carried political sentiment. At the Palm Desert, California, where her show was held, the rapper stopped midway through the performance of "La Cucaracha" to check on her Mexican and Guatemalan fans in the audience.

The Blast reported that the mom of four told fans that if any ICE agents walk into the venue seeking to cause a raid, they could get physical with the officials, not minding who they were or disrupting the show.

Corey Lewandowski, who was an adviser to Trump's presidential campaigns, confirmed that U.S. ICE agents would be present at the event to fish out and apprehend illegal immigrants.

This announcement, which stated that people who are in the country outside their legal rights could be taken at the Super Bowl, added a sense of panic among the crowd. Lewandowski's words came a few days after Bad Bunny was announced to be performing during the halftime show.
