Bijou Phillips is still searching for a donor, as her emotional plea on social media has yet to produce a match despite several individuals volunteering to be tested.
The mother of one has been hospitalized for some time after the kidney she received in 2017 failed due to complications.
According to reports, more than a thousand people have signed up to donate to Bijou Phillips already, who needs a donor with B-negative blood type.
Bijou Phillips Is Yet To Find A Match For A New Kidney

Phillips' search for a kidney donor is still ongoing, and there is no telling when she will find a successful match.
The model had a first kidney transplant from a friend in 2017, but the organ failed recently after suffering from multiple complications that led to her body rejecting it.
According to US Weekly, the socialite has now had friends and relatives go through the process of checking if they were a match to donate again, but none proved to be compatible donors.
Still, Phillips and those closest to her are reportedly "optimistic" about finding a match within the next "couple of months," despite the current lack of "prospective donors" amid her hospital stay.
She is also said to be conscious and "aware of what is going on." However, her condition remains "dire," and failing to secure a donor as quickly as possible could further reduce her chances of survival.
Over A Thousand People Have Signed Up To Donate

After failing to find a match among friends and loved ones, Bijou Phillips was forced to turn to her fans in search of a potential donor.
Since making the emotional appeal, she has reportedly received an overwhelming response, with TMZ sources claiming that as many as 1,000 people have signed up to be tested.
However, more individuals are still being encouraged to join the donor list due to the severity of her condition and the fact that no suitable match has been found.
Because Phillips' blood type is B negative, she can only receive a kidney from someone with B negative, B positive, O negative, or O positive blood.
If a potential donor with a compatible blood type is identified, that person will undergo a series of medical evaluations to determine whether they are healthy and suitable for the transplant.
Bijou Phillips Is Receiving Regular Dialysis At CORE Kidney

In the meantime, Phillips is receiving regular dialysis at CORE Kidney, a kidney advocacy and treatment program at UCLA Health.
It is unclear how much this medical treatment is costing her, but she appears to be handling the expenses privately, as she has yet to launch a GoFundMe.
She had previously requested help from fans in finding a kidney donor as soon as possible, with an emotional post on her Instagram page.
"I need help finding a kidney," Phillips wrote over a loved-up photo of her and her daughter, Fianna, when she was an infant. "I am in need of a kidney."

Speaking further about her predicament, Phillips referenced her earlier kidney transplant in 2017, describing it as an "incredible gift" that allowed her to continue being a mother to her daughter for eight more years, but it has now failed due to complications.
"I have had many complications since, including the BK virus [also known as Human polyomavirus 1], which led to t both a cellular and antibody rejection," she further remarked about her situation.
"Please find me a living donor so that I can have more time with my daughter, family, and friends," the mother of one concluded.

In the post's comment section, fans offered words of encouragement to Phillips, with some pledging to make referrals and complete the donor form linked in her bio.
One individual wrote, "You're going to find one I know u will. You are loved by many."
"Bijou, I love you forever. I will share this with some friends. You are an unstoppable warrior, and you've got this," a second user commented.
"Just completed the donor form! Sending you love," a third said.
Some individuals also asked her to look into swap programs as a means to find a donor.
"Have you looked into the paired exchange program? If someone you know wants to donate a kidney, but you two are not a match, they can donate to someone else, and then that puts your name in the paired exchange for a living donor," one concerned fan commented.
