Jelly Roll's Wife Speaks Out About The Power Of 'Delusional' Optimism

Jelly Roll's wife, Bunnie Xo, is letting the world in on a little secret as to how she pushed through her past trauma.

The podcaster opened up about the reality of her life, full of challenges from her childhood, the effects that followed, and how they shaped her into the adult she grew up to be.

So many mishaps befall Jelly Roll's wife, especially in the relationship circle till she met the love of her life. Just when life seemed to be a bed of roses for her, the singer admitted to stepping out of their marriage, crumbling her world.

Bunnie Xo's latest project, a memoir "Stripped Down: Unfiltered and Unapologetic," is set to cover all the sad experiences she faced growing up and how she was able to turn her life around. 

The podcaster revealed that she had a painful childhood and young adulthood plagued by domestic violence,  drug addiction, sexual assault, and other vices. She grew up without her mother present and did not reconnect with her till she was 22.

From the age of three months, she lived with her father and stepmother, whose family she claims was abusive towards her. Bunnie Xo then left home when she was 14 years old, which was the key to the door of a life filled with vices.

An abortion at 16, two divorces, life as a sex worker, and seven arrests, among others, have been attached to her name. "I don't think any child deserves to grow up around violence; it shapes them into a different human," she acknowledged. 

The entertainer disclosed that her positive outlook on life also helped in her achievements despite discouragement from several angles. "I've been weirdly delusional since I was a child. I've always known that everything's going to work out no matter what," the podcaster shared. 

Speaking to PEOPLE, she revealed that her optimistic mindset shielded her from sulking at the things that went wrong. Even when there were people looking forward to her downfall, she remained confident that she would one day attain greater heights.

Bunnie Xo drew strength to go through the darkest times of her life, growing up with the optimism she wore on her sleeves. While her childhood was tough, she expressed that she was grateful for every part of it because it led to where she is today.

The podcaster echoed words of engagement, saying, "It doesn't matter what you've been through. It doesn't matter where you come from. Believe in yourself, and know that you can change your life at any time and at any age."

Still on her past, Bunnie Xo delved into the details of a daunting memory from her past on her "Dumb Blonde" podcast. She shared this after an anonymous listener said that they had run away from home and hopped on a free ride from a group of adult men. 

The podcaster recalled a time when she and her best friend, LaTasha Marzolla, got picked up by a trailer in their teenage years. The Blast reported that the entertainer went on explaining how the man took them to his house, where they engaged in some unimaginable acts.

Continuing her experience, she noted that the man was driving a Porsche, and this caught their attention, ultimately compelling her and Marzolla to go with him.

Bunnie Xo ended that segment, warning listeners not to follow the same path she did. "I'd never do that again. True, I f-cking learned a lesson. Do not f-cking hitchhike, it's not cool," she concluded.

Growing up in a troubled atmosphere with all the traumatic experiences the podcaster had to go through,  it comes as no surprise that there were times when she dwelt on the fence with religion. 

Bunnie Xo is a Christian, unashamed to declare her faith and religious stance, but there have been times she wanted nothing to do with religion. In a recent episode on her podcast, she disclosed that some things she witnessed in the congregation affected her.

The podcaster detailed that there was a great deal of hypocrisy and backbiting among church members, and this heightened her desire to cut off affiliation with Christianity. 

The Blast detailed that with the recent happenings, where her husband is being called out as a "performative Christian," it is also rubbing off the wrong way. In her words:

"Seeing all of these people online just tearing apart my husband's walk of faith makes me not want to associate with that type of Christianity."

Jelly Roll and his wife have been candid about their desire to grow their family. The singer even hinted at their baby fever recently, but so far, their attempts have yet to yield positive outcomes.

They previously shared their steps to expand the family, including looking beyond traditional methods and giving In Vitro Fertilization (IVF) a try.

The Blast in a previous release noted that Bunnie Xo and her husband are open to either adopting a child or having one biologically, with the belief that it all lies in God's hands.

The singer's wife shared a recent clip online revealing that she finally got the call they waited five months for concerning the IVF journey, with praises to God for the good news. Bunnie Xo, however, debunked speculations that she was already pregnant, writing that they had a huge win, but it was not a pregnancy.
