Kim Delaney's Husband Arrested Again After Family Disturbance Call

Arrests and dealings with law enforcement are becoming a family affair for Kim Delaney and her husband.

The entertainer's husband, James Morgan, was taken into custody after several calls were made reporting a disturbance, which was later classified as a family disturbance. The arrest took place on Sunday, February 8, 2026.

Kim Delaney and her husband have both been arrested on different occasions. Last year, they were at each other's throats after an altercation where Morgan was booked for domestic violence and his wife for assault. 

Deputies responded to a disturbance in Delaney's residential area in Los Angeles, and this led to her husband's arrest. The L.A. County Sheriff's Department stated that the deputies responded to what they classified as a family disturbance on Sunday night.

Their swift response followed four separate 911 calls. All callers reported a possible verbal disturbance in a public area of the lover's apartment complex in Marina Del Rey.

The Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department told TMZ that after they arrived at the scene, James Morgan was arrested for obstructing or delaying a public officer. According to the details, the entertainer's beau is still in custody but is scheduled to appear in court on Tuesday, February 10, 2026.

Delaney has yet to make a statement concerning her husband's arrest. More details also remain vague, including whether the actress was present at the time of Morgan's arrest.

April 2025 was an eventful time for the lovers as they were both arrested. Delaney was taken into custody for assault likely to cause great bodily injury against her husband. Morgan was also arrested at the time for misdemeanor domestic violence against his wife.

According to the authorities, before the arrests, the Lovebirds had been going at it for two days, fighting and attempting to harm each other. The actress called the police after their long period of disagreement to lodge a domestic violence report against Morgan.

The 55-year-old left the home, then returned, prompting the actress to make another call to law enforcement. The sheriff's deputies revealed that Morgan claimed that his wife had tried to hit him with her car, and he allegedly showed deputies video proof of the incident.

However, the pair appeared to move past the incident shortly after, noted by a birthday post Delaney shared. She gifted him a bouquet for his 55th birthday, writing, "Birthday Boy, 55!!!!! Your wife loves you, my guy!"

Two years ago, Delaney was sued by a motorcyclist, Dzhamal Badalov, over a November 2022 traffic incident. The actress was allegedly driving sporadically down Venice Boulevard before colliding with Badalov's motorcycle at a red light.

The Blast shared that Delaney attempted to pull a hit-and-run but was stopped by witnesses and bystanders. Despite their attempts to stop her from fleeing the scene, she left, and before officers could respond, this led to a civil lawsuit.

As a result of this incident, the TV star was barred from operating a vehicle without a valid license and proof of insurance. Delaney was also ordered to complete fifty hours of community service and attend the Mothers Against Drunk Driving (MADD) program.

In 2002, she was also arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence after refusing a breathalyzer test. Her DUIs stretched as far as affecting the custody of her son, Jack Cortese, who testified against her in court.

The actress was previously married to actor Joe Cortese, with whom she shares a son, and then to Charles Grant. She officially married James Morgan in October 2022. 

The birthday celebratory post she made shortly after their huge fight raised eyebrows as fans were confused by the lovely front she put up. Followers said their perplexity stemmed from the fact that the couple were on each other's necks in the days leading up to Morgan's birthday. 

The Blast covered that some fans even advised the actress to break up with her husband, tagging the relationship as abusive and writing that Delaney was living in denial.

While some online users said they were utterly confused by the sudden declaration of love, others said they were glad the couple had sorted out their differences. "Yaaaay, I'm glad you guys worked it out. Wishing you the best," a fan commented. 

Years before their headlined scuffle, Delaney attempted to walk out of the marriage. She filed for divorce and pleaded that a restraining order be set against Morgan.

According to court documents obtained by In Touch, she listed the date of marriage as October 11, 2022, and the date of separation as March 21, 2023, citing irreconcilable differences as the reason for the split.

Adding to these, the actress also requested that the 55-year-old be denied the right to request spousal support from her. At the time, a temporary order was issued, but the restraining order request went out the door because she did not appear for hearings on the matter.

The divorce process also has not moved forward, as the couple appeared to have resolved their differences. They celebrated their anniversary together the following year in October.
