Singer Brooke Josephson has announced she is divorcing her husband, Barry Josephson, after his name appeared in newly released documents tied to Jeffrey Epstein. Josephson shared the news Saturday in an Instagram Stories post, confirming that she and the longtime Hollywood producer are ending their marriage amid the growing fallout. Her statement came just days after the Justice Department released communications on January 30 that showed repeated contact between Barry Josephson and Jeffrey Epstein over several years.

“Barry Josephson and I are going through a divorce,” she wrote, explaining that she felt compelled to address the situation following “recent events in the news this week.”
Brooke then made it clear she was blindsided by the revelations, saying she had no knowledge of any relationship between her husband and Epstein throughout their entire marriage. “I respectfully request privacy and prayers for our children and I during this time,” she added, thanking those who had shown kindness and understanding as she navigates what she described as an incredibly difficult moment.
Epstein Documents Detail Crude Exchanges With ‘Bones’ Producer Barry Josephson

Brooke and Barry married in 2007, back when Barry was already an established producer and former executive at Columbia Pictures. Over the years, he became best known for his work on the hit FOX series "Bones."
But the resurfaced Epstein files paint an uncomfortable picture. According to the documents, Barry and Epstein exchanged messages that referenced women, money, and casting opportunities, years after Epstein had already pleaded guilty in 2008 to solicitation-related charges involving a minor.
In one 2011 exchange, Epstein asked Barry if he could help connect him with “amazing women” in their early 20s in New York City. Barry responded in crude terms, describing a woman in language that has since sparked widespread backlash.

In another message from 2013, Barry told Epstein he was casting women for a pilot and suggested he stop by his office. When Epstein later requested help getting specific women cast in projects Barry was producing, Barry admitted he couldn’t make it happen but told Epstein he would “do anything to make amends.”
At one point, Barry even vented about how harsh the audition process can be, saying it was difficult enough that he had struggled to land even a small role for Brooke on Bones during their marriage.
The documents also revealed that Barry borrowed significant sums of money from Epstein, $120,000 in 2011 and $215,000 in 2013, both of which were later repaid. After settling the second loan, Barry thanked Epstein for his “friendship,” a comment that has not aged well in light of what is now known.
Barry Josephson Admits ‘No Excuse’ For Emails

Earlier this month, Barry addressed the situation publicly in a statement to Variety, insisting he never fully understood who Epstein truly was at the time. “There’s no excuse for what I said in some of my emails,” Barry admitted. “The language was crude and juvenile, and I’m ashamed.”
He acknowledged attending social events with Epstein and confirmed Epstein visited his sets twice, but denied ever traveling with him, visiting his island, or witnessing any involvement with minors. “My biggest regret, bar none, is that I foolishly believed his denials of wrongdoing,” Barry said, adding that he was misled by Epstein’s powerful social circle.
Epstein Documents Reference High-Profile Names As Case Fallout Continues

As the Epstein files continue to be picked apart, it’s important to note that many high-profile names appear throughout the documents. The records largely consist of emails, contact lists, and secondhand references rather than allegations backed by formal charges.
Among the figures whose names surface repeatedly is Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor, the man formerly known as Prince Andrew. Sarah Ferguson also appears in the broader Epstein narrative. In 2011, she publicly apologized after it was revealed that Epstein had helped pay off some of her personal debts.
Billionaire tech mogul Elon Musk is referenced in several emails from 2012 and 2013, including exchanges that discussed a possible visit to Epstein’s private Caribbean island, alongside President Donald Trump, who is also mentioned thousands of times throughout the documents.
Epstein himself was found dead in a Manhattan jail cell in 2019 while awaiting trial, a ruling that was officially declared a suicide.
