Travis Kelce's Ex Mocked For Taking A Dig At The NFL Star And Taylor Swift With 'Embarrassing' Super Bowl Ad

Travis Kelce's ex-girlfriend, Kayla Nicole, seemingly threw shade at the NFL star and his fiancée, Taylor Swift, in a viral Super Bowl ad campaign.

Kelce, who was in the stadium as a spectator, had to watch his ex promote services to help you get "excommunicated" from your ex after a celebrity breakup.

While it's unclear if Kayla Nicole's ad was aimed at Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift, several of the pop star's fans have since taken to social media to accuse her of not moving on from the football player.

Kelce's ex, Kayla Nicole, is seemingly making sure that she's not just a footnote in his love story with pop superstar Taylor Swift.

The model featured in an ad campaign for Sleeper during the 2026 Super Bowl on Sunday, where she promoted comedian Tiffany Haddish and NBA player Ben Simmons' "Simmons & Haddish" firm, which helps people who need to be "excommunicated" from their exes after a celebrity breakup.

"Have you or someone you know been injured emotionally in a high-profile relationship? It's very common," Haddish began.

"Are your exes subbing you in commercials?" Simmons said.

"If so, you might be entitled to retribution," continued Haddish, to which Simmons interjected, "No, no compensation."

"That's what I said. You need emotional injury specialists, Simmons & Haddish," Haddish added, before they both said, "You need the ex-communicators," and crossed their arms.

It was then that Nicole entered the ad and approved the service, saying, "Don't get me started on these two. They've got no idea what they're doing. At all."

The ad also featured other famous faces, including rapper Offset and "Love Island USA" star Ace Greene.

Offset, who's had a very public split with ex-wife Cardi B, joked that he doesn't "even know" what he was doing on the ad, claiming he's "great at relationships," before Simmons added, "Those are definitely the wrong tapes."

Nicole then said, "Simmons & Haddish promised me that they could put an end to this whole 'ex-girlfriend' fiasco quickly," seemingly referencing how her former relationship with Kelce has been prominent in the media.

However, Simmons interjected, "That doesn't sound right," before Nicole suggested "Rapidly."

"That's not what I said," the football star insisted, as Nicole said, "Okay, pronto."

The blink-and-you'll-miss-it moment that raised eyebrows was when Simmons told her, "I said swiftly, why is that so hard to remember?" appearing to reference Kelce's fiancée, Swift.

Since the ad aired, Nicole has faced serious backlash, with several netizens criticizing her for seemingly taking a dig at Kelce and his current relationship.

One viral tweet read, "Kayla Nicole is so f-cking embarrassing, it's been 3 years, and you're still nothing more than the ex-girlfriend who can't keep a man or a job. You have no real friends to sit you down and help you with a LinkedIn account, your wig is gnarled, and we've had ENOUGH."

"Kayla Nicole, I'm coming to you as a friend. We have to get you out of this humiliation ritual," a second person commented.

Another wrote on X, "Gotta admit, I thought the Swifties were being crazy for a while about Kayla Nicole, but girl — that check better have been huge because the embarrassment of basically admitting you're obsessed with your ex when over 100M people are watching."

One more person noted, "The way Taylor Swift didn't do or say anything bad to Kayla Nicole and her friends, but they're still pressed and bothered anyway. Just loser behavior."

Nicole and Kelce dated on and off for about five years before calling it quits in 2022.

The Kansas City Chiefs' tight end then began dating the "Bad Blood" singer in 2023, and they've both grown stronger in their relationship ever since, even getting engaged last year.

Since the pair kicked off their relationship, Nicole has been dragged online by many Swifties who accused her of always bringing up her past relationship with Kelce to remain relevant.

Back in September, she spoke up about how she doesn't allow the online hate affect her, and how she's taken "control of the narrative," telling People Magazine at the time that "the opinions of others are only as big as you make them."

"So if I don't allow it to affect me, it simply won't," she said. "You know what I mean? Sometimes on social media, we think that it's the whole world, and it's really not."

"It's an app with a couple of 100 million people, but you're in control of the narrative, honestly, and if something is holding you, bogging you down, turn it off," Nicole added. "Delete the app, log off. That's my biggest advice."

Meanwhile, Kelce and Swift have seemingly toned down preparations for the wedding as the foot all states looks to sort out the uncertainty surrounding his NFL future.

Following a disappointing season, Kelce, who has played the last 3 consecutive Super Bowls with his team, only watched on this time as the Seattle Seahawks rallied to a 29-13 win over the New England Patriots.

This has led to rumors suggesting he will be drawing the curtains on his career, and his fiancée is ready to support him.

"They're not even halfway through the guest list," a source told Rob Shuter. "Right now it's more about enjoying time together than crunching spreadsheets."

A close friend of the pair added that they're in "date night mode," not "wedding mode," and that even though Swift is usually "meticulous about every detail," with Kelce she has been "relaxed."
