Trump has never been discreet about his indifference to the former first family of the country, and he took it to the extreme today when she posted a short video of the couple posing as apes on his social media page.

TMZ reported that the disturbing video, which has now been taken down, opened with a voice stating that the 2020 election, which produced former President Joe Biden, who was vice president to former President Obama, was rigged in their favor.

While the businessman lost to Biden and Kamala Harris of the Democratic Party, Trump is still convinced years later that he won.

The clip then panned to a brief scene showing Michelle and Barack's heads on the bodies of apes dancing in the jungle as "The Lion Sleeps Tonight" song from The Tokens in 1961 plays in the background.

White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt addressed the outlet in a statement, insisting that the President did not mean any harm with his post.

She stated that the clip is from an internet meme video depicting Trump as King of the Jungle and Michelle and Barack as characters from The Lion King, while stressing that everyone should stop with the fake outrage and focus on reporting what matters to the American populace.

The New York Post reported that the video has since been deleted, with a senior White House official claiming that a staff member posted the video in error and it has now been deleted.

While it was still available on his profile, the video drew several criticisms and comments from internet users, including politicians from both sides of the divide.

Republican GOP Senator Tim Scott, who was the first Black senator from his state, had expressed that if the post were real, then it would be the most racist thing to have ever come out of this White House.

Rep Mike Lawler described the video as wrong and very offensive content, which should have been deleted immediately with profound apologies. Conservative activist Debbie Dooley also shared on X that she was horrified by the video despite not being a massive fan of the Obamas.

She suggested that the designer responsible for the content should be fired and banned from the White House. Dooley was among the co-founders of the Tea Party movement, which helped Republicans in the House secure the majority under Barack’s administration in the 2010 midterm elections.

The media personality was present at the congress for the Democratic Party in 2024, where she canvassed support for then-VP Kamala Harris and Trump's eventual opponent at the polls.

Michelle affirmed that she knew Trump's myopic vision of the world made him uncomfortable with the fact that two highly educated Black people were successful.

As reported by The Blast, she stated that Trump's racist comments at the first presidential debate in June 2024, where he accused immigrants of taking Black jobs, were ironic.

The former first lady stressed that Harris remained the best option for the job, and she is part of a government that prioritizes the comfort of its citizens.

Barack also backed up his wife at the event and slammed Trump as a conspiracy theorist who would never keep quiet about his problems. They applauded Harris for picking Tim Walz, the governor of Minnesota, as her running mate, noting that it was a sign that she knew exactly what she was doing.
