Following in his father's footsteps, Slade has pursued a career in music from a young age. Reflecting on his son's early achievements, Lil Jon told the Huffington Post in 2014 that he "teared up" when Slade graduated from the DJ academy.
Being a present father is a priority for Lil Jon; he once turned down an SNL appearance to celebrate his son's birthday.
"I made a pact that I would never miss a birthday," he said. "I've been there for every one of his birthdays. One time when "Yeah!" was out, Usher got invited to do Saturday Night Live, and he asked me... to come, and I had to decline because it was my son's birthday... I chose my son over the opportunity."
Slade's musical journey began early. He started DJing at age 11 after enrolling in Scratch DJ Academy, graduating at 12.
He continued performing in Los Angeles clubs throughout his teens and eventually began creating his own music.
Lil Jon Said His Son's Musical Talent Was 'Destined'

Lil Jon once said he believes his son's musical talent was inevitable. "It's literally in your kid's genes to do what you do," he explained on his podcast in 2023.
"It is in their genes. It is in their DNA. We pass everything we get, and we learn down to our children. So he was destined to be in the music business and do music."
Slade has also embraced his family legacy publicly. Last year, he appeared alongside his father on MTV's "Family Legacy" and competed on "Celebrity Family Feud," sharing photos of the experience on Instagram.
"Just some of the many cool thangs i been doin lately," he wrote. "Life been taking me to amazing places and I'm enjoying the journey. Me and my dad @liljon made history playing Family Feud together and s/o @e40 @tooshort @shawtyputt its a family affair!!"
Lil Jon Recently Turned His Health And Lifestyle Around

Meanwhile, Lil Jon himself has recently focused on his personal health. Last September, at 54 years old, he made his competitive bodybuilding debut at Venice's renowned Labor Day Muscle Beach Championship, taking third place in the Men's Physique Masters Over-45 division.
Sporting custom shorts emblazoned with "Soul Chakra," the rapper appeared lean and stage-ready.
Fans flooded his Instagram post with applause and fire emojis, while Lil Jon remained modest, writing: "Alhamdulillah. Thanks to all that supported me on this journey."

The rapper revealed that a close friend's triple bypass surgery prompted him to reevaluate his own health.
"It made me think about how all the partying, eating, and drinking I was doing in my younger years could catch up to me," he told BDO, per Men's Health.
Unsure where to begin, he hired a trainer and revamped his lifestyle—embracing juicing, meditation, infrared saunas, and chiropractic care.
While he still enjoys shots, they are now mostly ginger and turmeric rather than hard liquor. "It's not just about working out or eating better," he said. "It's about taking care of yourself as a whole."
