Dave Coulier is looking back on how far he's come with his rocky cancer journey.
The "Full House" alum shared his back-to-back battle with two different kinds of cancer in two years, with the good news that he is right at the finish line. While at it, he expressed gratitude for his sources of strength through the challenging health scare.
Dave Coulier first shared his cancer diagnosis in November 2024 and has remained open about his journey, including his treatment plans, challenges, and fears throughout the trying time.
Dave Coulier Is In Remission After Two Years Of Cancer

Coulier, popularly known for his role as Joey Goldstone on the classic TV show "Full House," shared that he is now in remission from tongue cancer. His tongue cancer diagnosis came about a year after he announced he had just beaten another type of cancer, Stage 3 non-Hodgkin lymphoma.
According to the Cleveland Clinic, Non-Hodgkin lymphoma (NHL) is a group of blood cancers that develop in your lymphatic system. They include B-cell lymphomas and T-cell lymphomas.
The actor reflected on his journey with the illness, describing the rough path, saying, "It's been a roller coaster ride for sure. I'm in remission with both cancers. And what a journey this has been."
Coulier stated that although the diagnosis and treatments took a toll on his mental, physical, and psychological health, he maintained a positive feat by keeping his loved ones close for support and laughing through the ordeal.
He shared this update in a recent interview with Good Morning America, where he also praised his wife, Melissa, and his co-star, John Stamos, for their unending support through his cancer journey.
"My wife, Melissa, has been amazing through all of this. I just love her to death. And John flew into Michigan, came and visited us and made me laugh," Coulier said.

As previously stated, the actor received his tongue cancer diagnosis after he had concluded his NHL treatment. He revealed the heartbreaking update that he had been diagnosed with p16 squamous carcinoma at the base of his tongue in December.
Coulier recalled the exact moment when the news reached his ears, "I was going in for a checkup for the lymphoma and got a PET scan, and it revealed that something was in my throat, and they said, 'Let's take a look at this,'" he said.
He then had to undergo a robotic surgery so that the doctors could get a biopsy and confirm a second cancer diagnosis. After which, it was revealed to him by his doctors that the carcinoma they found was unrelated to his previous cancer diagnosis.
The comedian said he was grateful for the early PET scan, as it allowed the cancer to be caught early and treated quickly. Continuing, he encouraged others to have regular checkups, including prostate exams and mammograms, because cancer is always in the rearview.
The battle got tough, but ease came to Coulier through his family and close friends who stood by him.

Coulier admitted that breaking the news of his diagnosis was especially hard for him when it came to his son, Luc, whom he shares with ex-wife Jayne Modean.
This was because during that period, Luc was gearing up to become a father to his own son, making the TV star a grandfather, which led to a great wave of emotions.
The joy of becoming a grandparent gave the comedian hope, like a light at the end of the tunnel. This renewed hope gave Coulier something to look forward to as he steps into this new phase of life.
The "Full House” alum is reportedly eager to introduce his future grandson to his favorite hobbies, such as hockey and airplanes. He desires to create similar memories to those he made with his son Luc in his younger years.

As with many other members of the industry, including his co-star Stamos, Coulier struggled with abuse. He opened up about this in 2022, sharing a shocking photo on social media. In the picture, the actor is seen all bloody with what seems to be scratches or scrapes on his head, nose, and under his eyes.
"I was drunk. Yes. An alcoholic," he declared in the caption, explaining that whenever he drank, he became the life of the party, channeling his inner comedian. Coulier continued, stating that the photo was taken after he fell to his face as a result of excessive drinking.
The comedian jumped on the sobriety train and has been sober since January 1, 2020. The Blast shared that he decided to quit drinking for his well-being and for those around him. Coulier has received support and encouragement on this journey from his wife, friends, co-stars, and fans.
