The long-running feud between Jimmy Kimmel and Donald Trump has flared up once again, this time triggered by Trevor Noah's jabs at the president during the 2026 Grammy Awards.
After Noah's remarks, Trump fired back with criticism and threats of legal action. In the process, he also aimed at Kimmel, reviving his long-standing dislike for the late-night host's skills.
Never one to hold back, Kimmel wasted no time pushing back at Trump's comments.
Jimmy Kimmel Responds To Donald Trump’s Attack On Him Following Trevor Noah’s Speech
The February 2 episode of “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” opened with Kimmel roasting Trump, beginning with a reference to his name appearing in Epstein files, claims Trump has repeatedly denied.
Kimmel continued his monologue, calling Trump “President Dementia,” joking he went back to address pressing issues, which was the review of the Grammys, before showing a clip of Trump’s criticism of the show.
"[Noah] said that I spent time on Jeffrey Epstein's Island. I didn't. I mean, he's a lightweight, this guy. I think he's terrible," Trump said to the reporters.
He added, "I thought he did a terrible job at the Grammys. I thought the whole Grammys was terrible. I watched part of it. It's not watchable, but he was a lousy host. I'd say not as bad as Jimmy Kimmel, but pretty close."
The camera then cut back to Kimmel, who appeared genuinely amused. “How did I get in there? I was at home last night, minding my own business,” Kimmel mocked. "Boy, I really got up his *ss."
The 58-year-old media personality went on to poke fun at how Trump manages to watch nearly every awards show despite openly disliking them.
He also highlighted the irony of the 79-year-old leader threatening legal action against Noah while simultaneously pursuing a $10 million lawsuit against the U.S. government.
Donald Trump Threatened To Sue Trevor Noah Claiming The Host Defamed Him

Kimmel's on-air roast followed Trump's lengthy Truth Social rant responding to Noah's remarks at music’s biggest night.
As The Blast reported earlier, the world leader firmly denied ever visiting Epstein's island, calling Noah's comments “incorrect” and defamatory, before warning that legal consequences could follow.
"Noah, a total loser, better get his facts straight, and get them straight fast," Trump wrote. "It looks like I'll be sending my lawyers to sue this poor, pathetic, talentless, dope of an M.C."
Jimmy Kimmel Reminds Donald Trump To Return To Mar-a-Lago Following His Rating Flop

While Noah's recent hosting reignited tensions, Trump has a history of clashing with Kimmel.
Back in December, Trump boasted that hosting the Kennedy Center Honors, something no sitting president had done before, would deliver record-breaking ratings.
He even claimed that if he failed to beat Kimmel, "I don't think I should be president." However, the broadcast reportedly drew just 3.01 million viewers, marking a 25% drop from 2024. Kimmel was quick to resurrect Trump's words.
"You know, as I recall, he said he'd step down if this happened," Kimmel said, according to The Blast, adding, "Hey, a deal is a deal. Back to Mar-a-Lago you go."
Jimmy Kimmel Accused The U.S. Leader Of Tearing Down Democracy

Before Kimmel’s demand for Trump to keep his promise, he had gone on a long rant about the state of the country under Trump’s administration.
While presenting Channel 4's Alternative Christmas Message last December, the comedian warned British viewers that "tyranny is booming" in the United States.
Per The Blast, the TV host alleged Trump was destroying the foundation of democracy, citing what he described as repeated attacks on institutions, including the free press, science, medicine, and judicial independence.
He also referenced what he called a "Christmas miracle," recalling how supporters rallied behind his right to free speech following earlier controversies, insisting that critics ultimately "lost." Kimmel ended his speech calling for hope amidst the turbulent times.
Jimmy Kimmel Says He's Open to Hosting Donald Trump

Despite the constant back and forth, Kimmel has said he wouldn't rule out welcoming Trump onto his show.
As The Blast reported, Kimmel addressed the possibility during an October appearance on “Bloomberg Screentime,” where he was asked whether he'd consider inviting FCC chairman Brendan Carr or Trump as guests.
While he dismissed the idea of hosting Carr, Kimmel made it clear he would be open to having Trump on his broadcast if the politician were willing.
However, when the White House was asked to respond to Kimmel's comments, the reaction suggested that Trump may not be taking him up on the offer.
