Going to space may be a lifelong dream for some people. Ashton Kutcher was getting ready to fulfill that dream until his wife Mila Kunis made him back out. The actor had already purchased his ticket to go on the second every Virgin Galactic flight. Discussions with his wife over the potential consequences of something going wrong eventually made him back out. Does that mean that Kutcher is effectively never going to get to go to outer space? It kind of sounds like it, but Ashton is still hopeful!

Ashton Is Putting Family Before Space Travel

From the interview, we can get a sense that Ashton Kutcher had been holding on to that “golden ticket” to go to space for a while. Presumably, before he even got married to Mila Kunis. It wasn’t until after he got married and had kids that he was essentially forced to give up the ticket. He may not have actually had a considerable loss for giving up the ticket. He mentioned that he sold it back to Virgin. Space travel already has better cancelation policies than your regular airline!

Is Ashton Ever Going To Space?

Ashton did say that he is hopeful that he will one day get a chance to go to space. He didn’t give any details though as to maybe what age his kids would have to be for him to make the journey. Virgin CEO Richard Branson was confident enough in his employees to go up himself on the first mission. Branson though has never been known as someone who plays it safe! If you had the money and maybe older kids, is it safe to go to space with Virgin Galactic?

Is Space Travel Too Much Of A Risk At This Point?

Ashton’s got young kids so he didn’t want to take the risk. Is space travel, though, something that most people should be avoiding even if they have the cash to do it? Well, last week as the crew of the Mothership Aircraft VMS Eve, Virgin CEO Richard Branson, congratulated his team for what he called 17 years of hard work. The company has been able to make one successful flight in 17 years. Most people would like to see them have a little more success before they jump on an aircraft for a trip to space!

Was The First Trip A Success?

//px Virgin_Galactica__

For all of those people who watched the crew including Branson shoot up into space and come back safely the trip certainly seemed like a great success. If you just watched the stock price for Virgin Galactic plummet it would seem the spaceship didn’t get off the ground!

People in the know, say that the stock price drop was due to the fact the company is putting a large number of stock options in the market. Presumably, they figured out they are going to need more funding to keep going to space. That’s something investors are not taking positively!
