Margot Robbie and Jacob Elordi have grown close to each other since filming "Wuthering Heights," with some fans even thinking their chemistry off-camera is a publicity stunt.

However, it appears there may be more than meets the eye, as there seemed to be a tense moment when the Oscar-winning actress appeared at an event alongside her husband, Tom Ackerley, with Elordi also present.

According to an expert, Margot Robbie's husband let out a "cry for help" with his body language as they all posed for photos on the red carpet.

"Wuthering Heights" stars Margot Robbie and Jacob Elordi's behavior off-camera has set tongues wagging due to how intimate they seem to be as they promote their new movie.

However, body language expert Judi James shared with the Daily Mail that, whether or not their closeness is what some fans think it is, Robbie's husband, Tom Ackerley, might not be happy about it, as his body language hinted at a "cry for help" when all three of them recently met at the "Wuthering Heights" premiere afterparty.

In a photo obtained by the news outlet, both men posed on either end of each other alongside Robbie, film's producer Josey McNamara, and director Emerald Fennell, and James explained that Ackerley's "mixed emotions smile" suggested "the faintest hint of a cry for help."

"The posing looks a little cruel here, not just because very few, if many men, could style it out opposite Jacob, but because Tom is not posing next to his wife, which he might have done as her 'plus one' for the afterparty evening," James continued.

"When he does pose with Margot in these photos, he's still in a sandwich, this time with her producer on the other side," the body language expert added.

Elordi previously claimed that he and the actress have a "mutual obsession" with each other.

"We have a mutual obsession," the actor told Fandango. "I think the thing is, regardless of plot or screenplay, if you have the opportunity to share a film set with Margot Robbie, you're going to make sure you're within 5 to 10 metres at all times."

Robbie and Ackerley have been married since around 2016, following their meeting on the set of "Suite Française" in 2013.

They are both co-founders of the production company LuckyChap Entertainment and welcomed their first child together in late 2024.

Although things may have turned awkward during their outing, James explained that Ackerley's pose looks "relatively mature and relaxed, with one hand in his pocket, suggesting a desire to look suave."

His wife also remained calm and fully confident, with James noting that she had the "look of a very excited Wuthering showgirl, with her wide eye expression and her wide, teeth-baring smile projecting utter delight, while her splayed legs suggest confidence."

During a chat with British Vogue, Robbie recalled her experience filming with Elordi, admitting that some of their intimate scenes left her feeling "weak at the knees."

One of the scenes had Heathcliff, played by Elordi, effortlessly lift her character Cathy with one arm, and another where he protected her face from the rain.

Speaking about the reason she felt that way about the scenes, the actress admitted that such old-fashioned masculine gestures were the kind women used to swoon over.

"It almost made me weak at the knees," she admitted. "It was the little things that we loved as two women in our 30s, and this movie is primarily for people in our demographic. These epic romances and period pieces aren't often made by women."
