Demi Lovato Shares Horrifying High School Bullying Video: 'I'm Holding You Accountable'

Demi Lovato decided to use her massive reach of 110 million Instagram followers, to share a high school bullying video, that she says will hold the school and the aggressor "accountable."

The 'Sorry Not Sorry' singer posted the heartbreaking video on IG, including a lengthy message about how the school is doing nothing to stop the horrendous actions in the footage. In the video, a white female high-school student punches another black female student in the face and berates her about not fighting back.

The footage -- which takes place in England -- is hard to watch, and according to Lovato, the school is not holding the aggressor accountable.

"After seeing my friend post this video of his niece being bullied at school my heart sunk into my chest. It was a familiar scene to my school I grew up in, but this one is different. This incident was made all the more horrifying because of the different skin colors between the two. A quiet young black girl is being punched in the face by an overpowering and threatening white girl. Bullying of any kind is wrong and should be met with consequences," she captioned the brutal clip.

She continued, "Right now racial tensions across the country of England are rampant and this is clearly more than just that. The young women in the video may be hurting inside or have been taught wrong by their parental figures, but that gives absolutely no excuse whatsoever to attack another person."

In the end, she had a message for the school. "To Northolt school: I’m holding you accountable by putting you on a global platform in order for you to take action and put in place the care and protection she needed."

According to the message, posted by the victim's family member, the young girl had suffered the loss of her mother due to suicide and it left her with mental health issues. The person claims she has been the victim of physical and mental abuse at the high school for over a year. The family claims the girl has been bullied "so violently" that her "entire character has been stripped from her." Apparently, the bullying was reported to the school over 6 months ago, but after a long meeting the school is taking no real action -- and instead is protecting the aggressor because she has been "bombarded with physical and verbal threats."

In the end, the family member wrote a lengthy message -- shared by Lovato -- which said, "I want to conclude that I don't encourage violence or abuse against anyone. Not ever bullies. Violence is never the answer. This is in no way to encourage abuse against the bully. Hopefully, she has learned the errors of her ways and the effects of her behavior. This post is to shine a light o the adults at Northolt High that have failed her!"
