Kylie Jenner & Timothée Chalamet Ready For Engagement But Nothing 'Would Change Much'

The romance between Kylie Jenner and Timothée Chalamet is getting serious, and they may be headed for the aisle anytime soon.

The “Wonka” actor and “The Kardashians” star have spent three years in a relationship that was initially private but has shifted to an unexpected, very public show of love.

Chalamet has also reportedly been embraced by the Kardashian-Jenner family, with sources saying Kylie's children have grown fond of him.

Now, insiders suggest the couple may be ready to put the final touch on their love story with wedding plans.

The beauty mogul and the Oscar-nominated actor are said to have been openly discussing a future together.

"They are very serious and have talked about getting engaged this year," one source close to the couple told US Magazine.

While wedding bells may be on the horizon, “nothing would change much,” as the insider noted that the reality TV star already jokes that Chalamet is already her “husband.”

"Kylie definitely runs the show, and Timothée loves it," the source added. "It is a great balance between both of their personalities, and it works."

The marriage talks follow the actor’s public declaration of love for Jenner while on stage at the 2026 Critics’ Choice Awards earlier this month. 

As The Blast previously reported, the “Little Women” actor bagged the win for Best Actor for his role in “Marty Supreme” and gave an emotional acceptance speech. He began with praises for his collaborators before stunning the audience with a heartfelt message to Jenner. 

“Thank you to my partner of three years,” Chalamet gushed. “Thank you for our foundation. I love you. I couldn't do this without you. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.”

Chalamet's confession was met with an equally tender response from Jenner, who was seen mouthing, "I love you too."

The rare display of affection instantly captured fans' attention, especially given how private the couple had been about their relationship until then.

Experts have since weighed in, suggesting the exchange was a clear signal of how solid their relationship is. Psychologist Darren Stanton explained that their openness serves as "social proof and relationship validation."

"They're sending a very clear and direct message to the public that the relationship is real, secure, and intentional," Stanton added per The Blast. "It isn't just for the cameras - they're in this relationship for the long haul."

However, not everyone viewed the couple's sweet affection as spontaneous. Insiders suggest the moment was carefully planned, more in line with the Kardashian-Jenner playbook than an impulsive show of emotion.

According to The Blast, one insider said Chalamet had been discussing the timing and place of publicly proclaiming his love for Jenner for weeks. 

The aim, the source said, was to "set the record straight" and quiet the ongoing rumors surrounding their relationship, and the awards night provided the perfect setting.

Another individual claimed it was strategic, since everything around the Kardashians and Jenners is planned. Additionally, the couple wanted the public to know they are in a good place. 

The timing of Chalamet and Jenner's recent PDA comes after months of speculation about tension behind the scenes. The pair were first linked in January 2023 after being spotted together during Paris Fashion Week.

Not long after, they were seen coordinating outfits and attending concerts together, fueling romance rumors. Those public moments, however, were often followed by long periods of silence that kept fans guessing.

As of October last year, Chalamet was reportedly "close to walking away," with insiders saying his rapidly rising career left him hesitant to settle down or become a father.

In November, breakup rumors surfaced, noting that Jenner shares two children with Travis Scott.

With their relationship now firmly in the spotlight, Chalamet's bond with Jenner has only grown stronger, and sources say he has been warmly welcomed into her close-knit family.

“Kylie's sisters and Kris have really embraced him,” the insider said, according to The Blast. “He always has a spot at the table for every holiday and is included in all of their plans,” the source shared, adding that Kylie’s kids love the actor.

The 28-year-old influencer, for her part, is said to be Chalamet's biggest supporter, cheering him on and proudly standing by his side.
