Jennifer Aniston’s personal life has quietly entered a new chapter, and real estate is offering one of the clearest clues yet.

As her relationship with hypnotherapist Jim Curtis continues to deepen, a major property decision on the East Coast is raising questions about shifting priorities.

From increasing financial pressures to long-distance logistics and growing commitment, Curtis’ move to sell his New York apartment appears closely tied to where his future with Aniston may be headed.

Jennifer Aniston’s boyfriend, Jim Curtis, has officially put his New York City apartment on the market, listing the two-bedroom, two-bathroom condo for $1,525,000.

According to a report from the Daily Mail, the South Seaport property, which boasts views of the Brooklyn Bridge, went live on January 27, months after a series of failed rental attempts.

The 1,200-square-foot unit was first listed for rent at $9,000 per month in April 2025, before being taken down just weeks later.

It resurfaced in June at a higher price of $10,500, only to be removed again in November. Now, the decision to sell suggests a more permanent shift.

Curtis could potentially walk away with a $250,000 profit, having taken ownership of the apartment in January 2015 for $1,277,904. At the time, he also took out a $992,000 mortgage.

The move comes as Aniston remains firmly based in the West Coast, where her real estate footprint is expansive and growing.

Jennifer Aniston’s relationship with Jim Curtis has steadily evolved over the past year, and the sale of his bachelor pad may reflect that progression.

Curtis recently spoke publicly about their romance during an appearance on the “Today” show while promoting his book, “The Book of Possibility.”

When asked how he met the actress, the 50-year-old said, “We were just introduced by friends. That’s it. We found out that we had mutual friends and we started to just chat.”

He added that the relationship took time to develop. “It took a long time,” Curtis said, before noting, “We chatted for a long time and we became close.”

When pressed on the timeline, Curtis, described by “Today” anchor Craig Melvin as “blushing,” shared, “A longtime, months now, almost close to a year.”

Jennifer Aniston’s Boyfriend Faced Financial Strain With Property

Aniston’s boyfriend has also faced financial challenges tied to the apartment, which may have influenced the sale.

Real estate records show Jim Curtis paid off a lien totaling $29,538 on December 8, which had been issued in March 2024.

This was not the first time the property posed financial difficulties. In 2017, the author reportedly fell behind on common charges, missing payments for February and March of that year.

The outstanding fees reached $15,242 before being resolved two months later.

The loft-like condo itself is described as “blending charm with modern convenience,” featuring exposed brick and a casement glass partition.

Located steps from the New York City waterfront, it has clear appeal, but its history of on-again, off-again listings suggests it may have become more of a burden than a benefit.

Jennifer Aniston’s real estate portfolio underscores the difference between her lifestyle and Jim Curtis’ New York base.

The “Friends” star owns a $21 million Bel-Air mansion in Los Angeles, a 10,186-square-foot midcentury modern home sitting on a 3.27-acre lot with seven bedrooms and 11 bathrooms.

In addition, she recently purchased a $7.5 million property next door, which she is currently upgrading.

Aerial images released in October 2025 showed significant changes underway at the newer property.

The pool, which had been remodeled by previous owners, was drained, stripped of its tiles, and filled in completely.

Landscaping was removed, and eco-friendly solar panels were taken off the roof.

Building plans suggest Aniston may be transforming the home into a guesthouse or annex, effectively creating a huge compound alongside her existing 8,500-square-foot property.

Jennifer Aniston’s Romance With Jim Curtis Continues To Grow

Aniston and Curtis first sparked romance rumors in July 2025 when they were spotted vacationing together in Mallorca, Spain, over Fourth of July weekend.

By September, Curtis was seen supporting her at the Season Three premiere of “The Morning Show,” though the pair did not pose for photos together.

Aniston later made the relationship Instagram official in early November, sharing a black-and-white photo of herself hugging her man from behind and writing, “Happy birthday, my love. Cherished,” with a heart emoji.

Though typically private, the 56-year-old has spoken warmly about Curtis and his craft. In a November interview with Elle, she said, “Hypnotism is one of the many things that he does. He’s quite extraordinary and helps many, many people.”

She added, “He’s very special, very normal, and very kind, and wants to help people heal, move through their trauma and stagnation into clarity. It’s a beautiful thing to commit your life to.”
