Kim Kardashian is getting candid about the reason for her fallout with former bestie Larsa Pippen.
The “Keeping Up With the Kardashians” alum and Pippen's friendship dates back to 2010. Still, a decade later, rumors of a rift began swirling after fans noticed the duo had unfollowed each other on social media.
Now, the beauty mogul is revisiting the past and revealing what truly went wrong.
Kim Kardashian Opens Up About Why Her Friendship With Larsa Pippen Faded
The SKIMS founder shed light on the unraveling of her longtime friendship with Pippen during the Wednesday, January 28 episode of “Khloé in Wonderland.”
Kim reflected on how personal issues on both sides gradually created distance between them.
"I love Larsa [and] I love her kids," Kim told Khloé, before going over the details of when things became shaky. "I think that was a transition when, I think, she was going through a divorce and Kanye [West] and I were having some issues,” Kim revealed.
According to the aspiring attorney, those struggles naturally pulled them in different directions, but emphasized that there's no bitterness.
“It just kind of distanced ourselves, and she moved to Miami, but I love her,” Kim admitted. “Our kids go to school together. We'll always have so many memories and so much love there.”
Despite the physical distance, Kim admitted she still keeps up with Pippen, watching her on “The Real Housewives of Miami.”
Speculation about a fallout first surfaced in 2020 when fans noticed Kardashian had unfollowed Pippen on social media. At the time, a source told Us Weekly that the KKW Beauty founder had unfollowed nearly everyone as part of a personal reset, choosing to focus on family and childhood friends.
Pippen later suggested Kanye West may have influenced the rift. However, in 2022, she clarified that the situation stemmed from miscommunication and said they were ultimately on good terms.
Larsa Pippen Shares Whether There Would Be Any Rekindling with Kim Kardashian

While Kardashian is now revisiting the past, Larsa has also been open about where they currently stand.
Last July, during an appearance on the “Jason Lee Show,” Pippen made it clear that things can’t go back to how they used to be between her and the beauty mogul.
"I'm not the same person I was yesterday, and I feel like I'm good," Pippen told host Jason Lee, as The Blast reported.
Despite not wanting to pick up old flames with Kardashian, Pippen revealed that Kardashian has a good relationship with her daughter, Sophia, and she would not want to “tarnish” that.
Kim Kardashian Reveals a Sneaky Paparazzi Move With Jonathan Cheban

Before diving into past friendships, Kim also shared lighter moments from her early fame, including a clever paparazzi trick she once pulled with longtime friend Jonathan Cheban.
As The Blast previously reported, the mom of four admitted she always dreamed of being a celebrity and recalled how she strategically placed herself in the spotlight. She revealed that she and Cheban once found out where Britney Spears was staying, not to meet the pop icon, but to be seen.
Upon arrival, paparazzi swarmed them, assuming Kim was visiting Spears. Cheban coached her to keep her head down and stay silent as cameras flashed.
Cheban has remained a constant in Kim's life since then. The duo first met by chance at a birthday party in 2009 and have stayed close ever since. Most recently, he appeared on the March 6 episode of The Kardashians.
The ‘All’s Fair’ Star Says Her Go-to Group Chat Is a Half-Decade-Old One With Her Friends

While still on Khloé’s podcast, Kim turned their attention to the role of group chats, describing them as safe spaces where people can freely share their feelings without judgment.
Per The Blast, the actress shared her go-to chat, nicknamed "The Bat Chat," has been active for five years and includes close friends Lala Anthony, Tracy Romulus, and Stephanie Shepherd.
"It's a safe zone. It's really crazy. We're beyond the days of snooping through phones. I feel like that just isn't a thing when you're in your 40s," she explained.
Kim Kardashian Clears the Air on Taylor Swift Feud

Kim also addressed her highly publicized past clash with Taylor Swift, insisting there's no lingering tension, even praising the singer.
"I have some of her older songs in my playlist," Kim said, according to The Blast. "I've always thought she's a super talented, great artist."
Her admiration, she added, has nothing to do with past controversies. "I love country music," Kim explained, noting that Swift's early catalog still resonates with her.
