Heidi Klum gave followers a very on-brand peek into her carefree side this week, sharing a provocative Instagram Stories post that quickly lit up the internet. The 52-year-old supermodel posted a short clip showing herself receiving a nude massage while casually snacking on a bowl of chips. The video opens close up on Klum’s leg as a masseuse’s hands move up her thigh and across her toned backside, partially covered by a sheet. Moments later, the camera pans to reveal Klum reaching into a bowl of chips and crunching away mid-massage. She doesn’t say a word in the clip, letting the sound of the chips do all the talking, and simply captioned the post with a face-savoring-food emoji. But while Heidi Klum appeared unbothered and playful, not everyone watching was amused.

Critics quickly flooded comment sections elsewhere, including Daily Mail's report, with harsh takes, calling the moment “Thirsty, tacky, embarrassing,” while another wrote, “Sad attention seeker. Her poor kids.” Others piled on, claiming, “She has been getting unhinged in the past few years. It’s like she’s trying to prove something. Insufferable,” and, “Does this thirsty older woman ever give up?”

The eyebrow-raising post comes on the heels of Klum’s headline-making summer, which included several topless moments while vacationing in St. Barts with husband Tom Kaulitz.

The candid moment comes as Klum has also been embracing a more unfiltered approach to her image away from social media. In a recent interview with Real Simple, the supermodel and businesswoman opened up about unexpected body hair, joking that it seems to appear overnight in the most surprising places.

“I have a chin hair and I have a boob hair. I would say it's as long as my pinky finger,” Heidi Klum revealed. She went on to describe the frustration of spotting it suddenly, adding, “It's like, ‘Where are you coming from all of a sudden, you were not there yesterday.'"

Elsewhere in the interview, Heidi Klum reflected on where her confidence truly comes from, crediting her mother for shaping how she views herself over the years. While hair removal might help her feel sexy now, Klum made it clear she’s always had a strong sense of self. “My mom said you have to be happy with the person you see in the mirror; you live your life with you, and if you're not happy with you, it's hard to be happy with anything that's happening outside of you,” Klum shared.

She added that confidence only deepens with time, noting, “I think our confidence gets better with age.” That mindset has only grown stronger as she’s watched her mother age gracefully. “I just did a campaign with my mom, she's 81,” Klum said. “I look at her, and I'm like, ‘Dang it, I hope I'm going to look like this at 80.’”

As for self-criticism, the model admitted she doesn’t dwell there. “I'm not very critical on myself,” she explained.

Her Wellness Philosophy Goes Beyond Confidence

That same mindset extends to how Klum approaches her health and appearance today. While confidence has always been second nature, she’s also intentional about what she puts into her body, and she keeps it simple. “Keep food as real and as unprocessed as possible. You are what you eat,” Klum told Page Six.

Instead of relying on packaged snacks or trendy wellness products, the supermodel said she sticks to whole, familiar foods. “I’d rather eat an apple or a banana as a snack instead of some pre-made bar where I don’t know what the heck is in it,” she explained.

Klum added that supporting local sources plays a role in her routine as well, saying, “Support farmers, get wholesome, good food, and try to keep it as healthy as possible.”

Beyond food and confidence, Klum said her day-to-day routine is rooted in calm, balance, and knowing when to slow down. Rather than pushing her body to extremes, she focuses on consistency and listening to what it needs.

“I don’t overdo anything, I don’t overexercise. You have to listen to your body and not over-exhaust it,” she explained. “It’s important to always move, it’s important to not sit still.”
