Olivia Rodrigo arrived at the White House on Wednesday, July 14, in her “Clueless” best.
No, we aren’t saying she was acting ‘clueless,’ but rather, the 18-year-old was giving off major Cher Horowitz vibes in a pink and white plaid outfit!
Olivia’s trip to Capitol Hill was an important one, as she was there to promote youth vaccinations.
'As If!'
See the similarities?
During a press conference at the White House, Olivia said, “I am beyond honored and humbled to be here today to help spread the message about the importance of youth vaccination.”
I’m in awe of the work President Biden and Dr. Fauci have done and was happy to help lend my support to this important initiative.”
According to the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, as of this week, 33.5% of Americans age 12 to 15 have received at least one dose of vaccine, with 24.9% fully vaccinated.
Per the CDC, forty-five and a half percent of Americans 16 to 17 have received at least one dose, with 37.1% fully vaccinated. And 50.5% of Americans 18 to 24 have had at least one dose, with 41.6% fully vaccinated, all of these younger groups far behind the national average.

The teen pop sensation continued her speech saying, “It’s important to have conversations with friends and family members, encouraging all communities to get vaccinated and actually get to a vaccination site, which you can do more easily than ever before given how many sites we have and how easy it is to find them at vaccines.gov.”
However, Olivia’s work at the White House wasn't done!
After her speech, she was expected to meet with President Biden and Dr. Fauci.
In addition to meeting with them, she will be recording videos about the importance of young people getting vaccinated, including answering important questions young people have about getting vaccinated,” according to a White House official.
The videos will be posted to both Olivia's and the White House’s social media channels.
On July 13, Biden posted a throwback photo of himself as a young man. He used the photo to encourage young fans to get vaccinated.
He captioned the photo, “I know this young person would’ve gotten vaccinated, but we’ve got to get other young people protected as well. Who’s willing to help?”
Just some back and forth with the Pres.
Olivia commented on the photo, “i’m in! see you tomorrow at the white house!" to which President Biden replied, "You bet!"
As of now, Olivia has yet to take to her social media to share BTS photos from her trip, but we have a feeling she will be unloading some really cool content soon!
