Arist, author, and cultural icon Mayte Garcia is keeping Prince’s legacy alive through a foundation she started with the pop icon in 1996. Through a fun upcoming event in Las Vegas, she is raising funds for Live 4 Love Charities, while making sure women remember they are the “most beautiful girl in the world.”
On February 14, 2026, Garcia will host an intimate and soulful gathering that blends beauty, meaning, and purpose. Joined by luxury rose producers April & Ashley and Roses Forever, the event will unveil and ceremonially baptize "The Most Beautiful" Bare Root Rose, a living tribute to the strength, grace, and spirit of women everywhere.
Mayte Garcia sat down with The Blast for an exclusive chat about her upcoming Vegas event, the charity and rescue close to her heart, and how she continues to honor the legacy of her late husband, music icon Prince.
Mayte Garcia Is Hosting A Valentine's Day Event For 'The Most Beautiful Girls In The World'

You can spend Valentine's Day celebrating beauty and love in a unique and memorable way while supporting a great cause.
Designed as a shared moment of affirmation, “The Flower Baptism” invites guests into an atmosphere of celebration and reflection. Crowned in rose blooms and welcomed with cocktails and hors d’oeuvres, attendees will be reminded of an enduring truth: they are already “the most beautiful girl in the world.”
The rose itself, named in homage to the iconic song forever associated with Garcia, Prince’s “The Most Beautiful Girl In The World,” serves as both a symbol and a story.
At the heart of the evening is its philanthropic mission. Proceeds from the event will benefit Live 4 Love Charities, originally established as Love 4 One Another, the global nonprofit co-founded by Prince Rogers Nelson and Garcia in memory of their son, Amiir, who passed away seven days after his birth.
Rooted in compassion and the belief that “we’re supposed to take care of each other,” Live 4 Love Charities supports children, individuals with special needs, and vulnerable communities through arts, music, and humanitarian outreach.
More About 'The Most Beautiful' Rose

Garcia shared some information about "The Most Beautiful" rose on her Instagram page.
"From the gardens of Denmark to the heart of Las Vegas, this rose is more than a flower—it’s a symbol of love, legacy, and purpose. Created with intention and baptized with joy, The Most Beautiful™ rose is now blooming across the United States," she captioned a reel showing the rose. "Every petal tells a story. Every purchase supports Live4Love Charities, helping us uplift communities through compassion, creativity, and service."
"I knew about this lady, her name is Rose, actually, and she's a creator of these roses in Denmark. It's a big, big market in Europe, and every year, they have a rose, she's a queen now, but she was the princess of Denmark and she would come and baptize it with champagne and it was a big thing," Garcia told The Blast exclusively. "They invited me because Rose made a flower called, 'The Most Beautiful.'"
Garcia went and got to meet the princess, who is now the queen, and had the opportunity to see where the flowers were made and how long it takes to create them.
"And I didn't know this, but the ones that don't smell are better quality than the ones that smell," she shared. "It's a whole different world of roses."
A company named April and Ashley got the rights to the roses and they wanted to make a big presentation of it in the U.S. so Garcia decided Vegas was the perfect place for an event honoring the flower and "the most beautiful girls in the world."
The event also serves another amazing purpose - to remind women that they are beautiful and empowering.
"For me as a child, I had belly dancing as a sense of empowerment and just a confidence that I have within myself," she said. "I'm always trying to teach women and talk to them about it and just hope that there's an awareness and that they are just happy with who they are and how they look."
As for what Garcia feels Prince would think of this event, she said "he would have loved it."
"He loved flowers. He loved roses. And he always appreciated women and respected them," she said. "He would have loved it."
Mayte Garcia And Prince Founded Live 4 Love Charities In 1996, And She Has Continued Its Mission Following His Passing

The charity that Garcia and Prince started in 1996 is a 501c3 nonprofit organization that honors Prince's philanthropic legacy of "helping people up and helping people out."
The charity continues to strive for better outcomes for humanity by supporting a variety of programs, including Live 4 Music and Live 4 Dance.
"It was a private foundation, and we would just help people. He'd see people needing help and he'd just write a check, and it started a foundation and we kept going," she said. "When he passed, he didn't take me off, so we started it again and it's now a public charity. We have a whole bunch of programs. The fundraiser is for that with the proceeds going to go for that."
Mayte Garcia Also Has An Animal Rescue

Mayte's Rescue is making a huge impact not only in Las Vegas, but in other places, too.
The nonprofit 501c3 animal humane organization was started by Garcia in 2013 so she could help place adoptable dogs into their forever homes. After seeing a disturbing image online of a trash can filled with euthanized animals, she started her one-person organization, and it has since grown into a nationwide rescue that helps more than 40 dogs a month.
Garcia is hosting a second event on Valentine's Day, shortly after "The Flower Baptism" event that will benefit the rescue. Love Fur A Cause will include hor d'oeuvres, dinner, and a special concert viewing.
"I have a lot of dogs and cats and it's not cheap, so I'm having a dinner at my house," she told The Blast. "I have a lot of footage that nobody's ever seen from Prince concerts, so we're having a little viewing."
Garcia is in need of foster homes for some of the rescues she's trying to get adopted.
"I'm creating a group of fosters because I can't take on any more dogs without fosters," she said. "I love fosters for people who aren't sure if they want a dog, but they want to see what it's like. We provide the food, vet care, and everything."
(So if you're in Las Vegas and want to become a foster or adopt a dog or cat, reach out to Mayte's Rescue for more information.)
What Else Is Mayte Garcia Up To?

In addition to all her work with her charities and rescue, Garcia has some other exciting projects in the works.
"My book, 'The Most Beautiful' is being turned into a movie, which is great," she told The Blast. "And I have a local mobile grooming business that helps the rescue called 'Groomer On The Go.' I work like two or three times a week and proceeds go into the dogs and life so it's a good business."
And let's not forget that Garcia also finds time to enjoy the great city she has called home for the past eight years- Las Vegas.
"It has a small town feel to it but yet, you can go down to the Strip and get the whole big stuff. That's what I like," she said. "I feel like I'm in a small town but if I wanna go see Bruno Mars or Lenny Kravitz, you know, they're right there."
