The couple was present at the venue of the screening in Park City, Utah, and expected to pull their star power and fill the house for a view of the documentary on Sunday morning. However, reports from the Eccles Theatre, Utah, claimed that the seats at the screening for "Cookie Queens" were not completely occupied.

Sources claimed that as the film began showing, about 150 empty seats remained in the balcony with chairs scattered on the ground floor. However, the number reduced to about 60 as wait-listers filled the seats which were typically reserved for the $6,900 express badge holders.

The Sundance Film Festival 2026 was far from a flop as more Hollywood figures, including Olivia Colman, Charli XCX, and Natalie Portman, had their projects hot in demand last week.

Harry and Meghan had attempted to switch up the tempo for the "Cookie Queens" documentary the night before it was screened by making a few appearances. The couple reportedly made a surprise entrance at a neighboring Sundance premiere on Saturday evening.

Unfortunately, things began on a dull note for the couple on Sunday morning when their screening session started 10 minutes behind schedule. Meghan also took the stage to address the crowd before the film to thank the crowd for showing up despite being hungover from the "late nights last night."

The film, which Alysa Nahmias directed, focused on four Girl Scouts fighting for a $800 million cookie fortress where dreams are made.

Meghan and Harry's production company teamed up with Beautiful Stories and AJNA Films to bring the film to life. The Blast reported that Meghan expressed her reason for being so committed to the success of the project and how it was a reminder of her younger self.

"As a former Girl Scout myself, with my mom as my troop leader, I have a personal affinity for this film and am proud that all our conversations and collaboration have led to Archewell Productions partnering with this award-winning team to executive produce this incredibly captivating documentary," the former actress expressed to Deadline.

Meghan added that the attraction to the project was instant on their end, thanks to its creative point of view, edgy and humanizing tone, coupled with the irresistible nostalgic view it offered into the world of the modern Girl Scout cookie season.

The 'Suits' Actress Recorded Huge Sales For Her Honey Brand Last Year

She might not have sold out seats at Sundance Festival, but her lifestyle brand "As Ever" recorded massive patronage last April when its wildflower honey dropped on the website.

The Blast noted that the $28 wildflower honey was highly requested alongside $12 herbal teas (hibiscus, peppermint, and lemon ginger), $14 crepe mix, and shortbread cookies with $15 flower sprinkles.

However, fans were left disappointed due to their orders failing to be fulfilled after the website experienced a glitch. The glitch prompted the site to continue accepting orders despite the inventory being sold out.

Meghan's team quickly controlled the situation with heartfelt apologies and a promise of a full refund alongside one more free item of the buyer's choice. The email received by customers admitted that the excitement for the brand drop created a volume of traffic that the team did not see coming.

The Duchess of Sussex also sent a personalized note to the affected customers, promising to put them first in line for the subsequent releases and deliver their goods to them by mail.

The former actress is not resting on her laurels as well when it comes to pushing her brand, just like every other venture in her life. In a recent interview, the mother of two affirmed that plans had begun to expand her brand's reach beyond the shores of the United States.

The former actress added that since sales were rapidly exceeding their projections and expectations, it was essential to scale up and test more waters. Backing up her mission was another internet glitch, which revealed that the humanitarian had sold nearly one million jars of her fruit spreads.

Some frequent shoppers on her website discovered the source, which gave them a view of the brand's inventory levels. The Signature Fruit Spread gift box had shown that only 137,000 units remained to be sold, out of the initial production of 1 million jars.

Discussants of Reddit quickly did the math and placed Meghan's revenue from her jam line alone at a whopping $35.9 million, hence ranking her brand as very successful.

Will the tides turn around for Meghan Markle and Prince Harry's project despite this development?
