Since the speculations about Meghan's possible return to the UK began spreading, there have been more critics than supporters addressing the topic. The Blast shared that British columnist Sarah Vine penned a scathing piece about her thoughts on the Duchess.

Vine argued that Meghan, who had a history of condemning the Royal Family, wouldn't return to the UK without a plan. She suspected the media personality wished to exploit the publicity to boost her image and the As Ever brand by attending the Invictus Games.

"Without her royal connections and victim/survivor narrative, the Duchess is just another middle-aged minor actress with a lifestyle brand to flog," Vine claimed. She added that Meghan would likely stage performances for the paparazzi to sell her victim narrative.

The product Vine highlighted was the limited-edition bookmark Meghan reportedly designed herself. It featured the words "Fell asleep here" stamped in gold in Meghan's signature handwriting, and it was produced by an English company.

The bookmark was reportedly produced using sustainably sourced, vegetable-tanned leather and was priced at $18. According to the As Ever brand's website, the product line-up appeared to have sold out 10 minutes after it was launched.
