Prince William Has Reportedly Hired A New PR Crisis Manager To Protect Monarchy Amid 'Royal Challenges'

Prince William has reportedly hired a PR strategist, Liza Ravenscroft, to protect the monarchy and manage potential crises, allowing him and Kate to focus on duties and family life.

Ravenscroft, known for her crisis management skills, was recruited by former royal communications secretary Julian Payne.

Meanwhile, Prince William's estranged brother, Prince Harry, is currently embroiled in a legal battle with the UK's biggest media group over allegedly unlawfully obtained private information.

William has reportedly hired a new public relations expert to help safeguard his future role as monarch. Liza Ravenscroft, a communications strategist, has been brought on to shield The Crown from potential controversies and maintain the royal family's public image.

"A few sources have suggested that Liza Ravenscroft's background in crisis management is the real reason she was hired," royal commentator Helena Chard told Fox News.

She added that the "timing is notable, given recent royal challenges: ex-Prince Andrew's fall from grace, the ongoing rift with Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, and growing financial scrutiny of the monarch."

Prince Andrew, 65, was stripped of his royal honors last year following his association with the late sex offender, Jeffrey Epstein.

Meanwhile, William, 43, remains estranged from his brother and sister-in-law after Harry and Meghan relocated to Montecito, California, in 2020.

Their high-profile revelations about royal life have further strained the relationship.

"Protecting William and Kate Middleton from intense media scrutiny and protecting the monarchy is a calculated, proactive move," Chard explained.

Ravenscroft's role will involve anticipating and neutralizing "misinterpretation before it takes hold."

Chard described the move as allowing the Prince and Princess of Wales to focus on their duties and family life, "putting the monarchy first without the cloud of intense media frenzy as unprecedented bombshells drop."

Ravenscroft, formerly of PR firm Edelman, has been praised for her sharp wit and effective public relations strategies, earning her the nickname "bulletproof sunshine," per the Daily Mail.

The strategist was recruited by Julian Payne, a former communications secretary to King Charles and Queen Camilla.

An insider told the news outlet that Payne's continued influence within the royal household likely played a part in Ravenscroft's appointment, and the move may signal closer alignment between Kensington Palace and Buckingham Palace as attention turns to William's eventual succession.

On January 22, William focused on engagements in Bristol, highlighting the city's achievements in sustainability and innovation.

His itinerary included visits to three major sites: Matter, a sustainable technology company and 2025 Earthshot Prize finalist; the University of Bristol's NCC center, home to the UK's most powerful supercomputer; and the Bristol Robotics Laboratory, a leading human-centered robotics research hub.

During the visit, William tried out a lightweight mobility scooter, perhaps a small indulgence since his own electric scooter is banned on the grounds of his Forest Lodge residence in Windsor.

Meanwhile, about 120 miles away in London, Prince Harry, 41, attended the Royal Courts of Justice to support Elizabeth Hurley, 60, as she testified against Associated Newspapers Limited.

Harry was among seven high-profile claimants involved in the case, which accuses the publisher of unlawful information gathering, and he gave an emotional testimony on January 21.

Harry's latest legal battle is the most recent in a string of lawsuits he has filed against British media outlets over the years. In his witness statement, he referenced William, King Charles, and Kate.

The Duke of Sussex said that during the period covered by his claim, from around 1996 to at least 2014, he was in "regular contact" with a circle of trusted individuals, suggesting that private details published in the press could only have come from information obtained unlawfully within these close relationships. Associated Newspapers has denied all allegations.

According to People Magazine, Harry listed ten people he was frequently in contact with during the relevant period, including William, Kate, Charles, and his former girlfriend Chelsy Davy. His description of William highlighted their closeness and the trust they shared at the time.

The statement read: "HRH The Prince of Wales, my brother William. Due to his position, the press have always been very interested in him. As brothers, we naturally discussed personal aspects of our lives as we trusted each other with the highly sensitive information we shared about our private, family, and professional lives."
