DJ Fat Tony Confirms Brooklyn Beckham’s Version Of The Wedding Dance Incident

Brooklyn Beckham’s explosive claims about his wedding day have taken on new weight after DJ Fat Tony publicly backed his version of events. 

What had initially been dismissed by some as exaggeration or emotional fallout from a family feud is now being described by a key eyewitness as really awkward, with details that suggest the moment left lasting damage. 

As more voices weigh in, the spotlight has shifted back to Brooklyn and the incident that continues to fracture one of celebrity’s most famous families.

Brooklyn Beckham reignited public interest in his long-rumored family rift when he released a six-page statement accusing his mother, Victoria Beckham, of hijacking his first dance with Nicola Peltz at their April 2022 wedding. 

The 26-year-old said the moment, which should have been private and romantic, became humiliating when his mother danced very inappropriately on him, leaving him “uncomfortable and humiliated.”

The allegation quickly became the most talked-about section of his statement, with critics questioning whether the language was fair or exaggerated. 

Brooklyn insisted the incident overshadowed his wedding and was part of a wider pattern of behavior that contributed to his decision to later renew his vows without his family present. 

While some sources initially downplayed the claims, the issue refused to fade, particularly as insiders began sharing conflicting accounts of what really happened that night.

DJ Fat Tony, who performed at the wedding and is a longtime friend of the Beckham family, has now publicly confirmed Brooklyn Beckham’s version of events. 

Speaking on “This Morning,” the 60-year-old DJ described the situation as “really awkward” and explained that the issue was not about explicit behavior, but timing and context.

“There was no slut dropping, there was no PVC cat suits, no Spice Girl action!” Tony said, per the Daily Mail, before explaining why the moment felt inappropriate. 

According to him, Marc Anthony was performing when he called Brooklyn onto the stage, leading guests to expect Nicola to join him for their first dance. 

Instead, Anthony then asked “the most beautiful woman in the room” to come forward, calling Victoria to the stage.

Tony said Brooklyn looked “devastated” as the moment unfolded, adding that Nicola left the room “crying her eyes out.” 

He stressed that regardless of how others perceived it, “This is all about how Brooklyn feels. If he feels that it was inappropriate and awkward, it was inappropriate and awkward.”

Tony also addressed why Brooklyn Beckham chose to air the issue publicly rather than keeping it private. 

He explained that Brooklyn wanted to “change the narrative” after years of being labeled a “Nepo Baby” and told he should simply be grateful for his family name.

Tony said the photographer had already tried to resolve matters privately but had reached a breaking point. 

“It got to the point for him where he can’t take this anymore and wanted to step back from it, and that was his way of doing closure,” he explained. 

The DJ acknowledged how painful the situation is, noting that “parents have lost their child, and a son has lost his parents.”

He added that public speculation only made things worse, saying everyone now feels entitled to comment on the wedding despite not being there. 

According to Tony, the dance has become a symbol of a much deeper family problem that has been building for years.

Not everyone agrees with Brooklyn Beckham’s interpretation. Some sources have said David and Victoria are baffled by the accusations, claiming guests were “having so much fun” and that Victoria was simply “a tad tipsy and having fun.” 

Others alleged Nicola “didn’t want him to dance with his mum at all – so kicked off about it.” However, multiple insiders echoed Brooklyn’s distress. 

One source said Nicola was “humiliated and furious to have been upstaged,” while another claimed she left the reception crying after Victoria “wrapped her arms around Brooklyn and nuzzled into his neck.” 

Tony admitted that word spread quickly after the wedding, noting that few people attended the brunch the next day and that guests were openly discussing how sad the situation had become.

He also acknowledged Victoria was “thrown into that situation,” but emphasized that too many stories have been layered onto what was already an emotional moment.

Adding to the intrigue is the fact that Brooklyn reportedly holds the only video footage of the controversial dance. 

The couple enforced a strict no-phones policy at their Florida wedding, requiring guests to lock away devices and use flip phones for basic photos. As a result, all official footage belongs to Brooklyn and Nicola.
