Demi Lovato recently shed light on their years-long friendship and how having Paris Hilton by her side inspires her to embrace the future without fear.

Lovato was full of love at the Los Angeles premiere of Hilton's "Infinite Icon: A Visual Memoir" documentary on Tuesday night. She attended the January 20 event in a stunning strapless dress, posing on the pink carpet with her longtime pal.

While strutting down the pink carpet, the "Sonny with a Chance" alum stopped for an interview with Entertainment Tonight's Denny Directo. When asked what parts of Hilton's story she could relate to the most, Lovato showered her friend with praise.

"Paris is such a survivor, and she's such an inspiration. She's so strong. She stands up for what she believes in, and I think she's just so inspiring to me," Lovato gushed. She claimed she was grateful to be there to support Hilton because she had always been a consistent supporter in her life.

The Singer-Songwriter Reflects On Their Years-Long Friendship

While raving about their years-long friendship, Lovato revealed that her relationship with Hilton began when she was 15. "We've known each other for a long time, and we've seen each other through different phases of life," she shared.

Lovato added that it was fantastic watching Hilton thrive with her documentary, adding that she encouraged her to embrace the future. She was equally happy to be making waves in her own career with her upcoming tour and return to one of Disney's most beloved franchises, "Camp Rock."

The singer/actress explained that she was not only starring in the project but serving as an executive producer. "I'm excited to see the new generation lead the way and, you know, step into their spotlight," Lovato raved. As for her "It's Not That Deep" tour, she can't wait to connect with concertgoers.

Lovato wasn't alone in her feelings for Hilton, as the latter credited her as the inspiration behind her documentary. During the premiere event, the socialite took the stage to honor her longtime time in a moving speech.

A fan captured the moment in a video shared on X, which saw Hilton looking like a fairytale princess in a beautiful pink gown designed with cape-like sleeves and floral-patterned rhinestones. She began her speech by thanking Lovato and raving about her love for the singer.

Hilton explained that when Lovato invited her to watch one of her documentaries years ago, she was so inspired by her vulnerability that it gave her the courage to share her own story. "So thank you for inspiring me on this amazing journey, and I love you so much. My sister for life," Hilton concluded.

Despite their 11-year age gap, Lovato and Hilton have managed to maintain a years-long friendship built on love and respect. Bustle covered their relationship timeline, revealing they met at Ellen DeGeneres' birthday party and they instantly connected.

Lovato and Hilton built their bond under the radar and were rarely spotted together in public unless they wanted to. In 2017, Hilton served as the DJ in Lovato's "Sorry Not Sorry" music video, reportedly bringing over 11 or 12 suitcases of clothes for her cameo.

The love between Lovato and Hilton even made the screen, through the Peacock series "Paris In Love." The program included scenes of the pals hanging out at Hilton's home, shopping together, and raving about their years-long friendship.

In one scene, Hilton credited Lovato for inspiring her to talk about the alleged abuse she experienced in her teenage years. When the entertainer wasn't being a good friend, she gave fans plenty to talk about with her social media updates.

The Blast reported that Lovato rang in the new year by doing a 2025 recap, which featured several pictures of her rocking bikinis or flaunting her toned body in risqué outfits. One of the snaps captured her sunbathing topless as she enjoyed the ocean view.
