Divorce advice is already rolling in for Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban as they have officially called it quits!

The former lovebirds recently signed their divorce papers, officially ending their almost two-decade-long marriage. Being single once again after so long, jumping into adventurous romance with new partners might be an item to add to their lists.

Nicole Kidman met Keith Urban at the G'Day USA gala in Los Angeles in 2005. They dated for a while and then tied the knot in a candlelit ceremony at St. Patrick's Estate in Sydney the following year. They remained a strong public family figure with their two daughters till Kidman filed for divorce last year.

Following the news of their separation and finalized divorce, musician Rick Springfield dropped some hot pieces of advice for the new exes.

He says the newly divorced pair should start their single lives with one vision in sight, and that is getting laid a lot. These words sound bizarre coming from Springfield, as he has no experience in the divorce field.

He has been married to his wife, Barbara Porter, since 1984 and recently celebrated his 41st anniversary. A video clip showed the musician's chat with TMZ, where he went on cheering for the former power couple, in full support of them in their single lives.

Unlike most divorce processes, which extend to months and even years, Kidman and Urban made theirs simple and got it over with in no time. Court documents showed that both of them declined to engage in formal discovery, avoiding a process that often comes with inevitable drama.

The filings stated that their choice completely eluded completing interrogatories, discovery depositions, which are designed to discover assets and debts, and requests for production of documents.

This implies that they resolved their issues privately with their respective legal councils, thus keeping public interference to the barest minimum. They also waived spousal support and covered their legal fees personally. As for their properties and assets, they were shared between each party to mutual satisfaction.

In the obtained court documents, not only did the former couple permanently waive spousal support, but they also waived child support.

Child support is another aspect of divorce that causes misunderstandings, disagreements, and lengthens the process. Kidman and Urban cooperated to make amicable decisions that are in their kids' best interest.

The Blast reported that they have a parenting plan, which entails that the actress will spend 306 days per year with the children, while for 59 days, they will be with Urban, described as "every other weekend."

This arrangement ensures stability for the children, maintaining their usual schooling and daily routines. Even though the children will live primarily with their mom, the country singer will continue to cover their school tuition.

According to insiders, other parts of the settlement went like a breeze until the topic of custody of their two teenage daughters, Sunday and Faith. Neither Kidman nor Urban wanted to budge initially as the country singer was asking for equal time with their daughters.

This matter reopened some old wounds for the actress as she had custody issues with her two older children, whom she shares with Tom Cruise following their divorce in 2001.

Although she and Cruise were granted joint custody, they opted to stay with their dad primarily. The Blast shared that this was an emotional roller coaster for Kidman, as she could not stand the thought of another emotional estrangement from her kids.

Going through a silent divorce process extended to their private lives as well. Earlier reports showed that since Kidman kick-started the divorce process, they maintained a no-communication stance.

As shared by The Blast, the actress was not ready to face her ex-husband; hence, they left the full responsibility of conveying information to their lawyers. They kept to themselves throughout the process and didn't publicly address their surprising split officially either.

Through it all, both parties made moves to heal and move on. Sources close to the former couple noted that the divorce was a brutal blow to each party, but they were determined to push through.
