Olivia Rodrigo Is Headed To The White House

Teen pop sensation, Olivia Rodrigo, is using her driver’s license, or maybe frequent flyer miles, to get to Capitol Hill.

The “Driver’s License” singer is leaving on a jet plane for the White House, this according to a CNN report.

The outlet says the singer will be at the White House on Wednesday, July 14, to meet with President Joe Biden and Dr. Anthony Fauci.

The goal of her trip is to increase Covid-19 vaccination outreach to the crucial demographic of young people.

The 18-year-old actress will "record videos about the importance of young people getting vaccinated, including answering important questions young people have about getting vaccinated," a White House official said.

Good for Olivia for using her voice and influence for the betterment of America!

According to a White House official, the videos will be featured on Rodrigo's social media channels and the White House's social pages.

She’s got a following of over 28 million across all of her social platforms.

According to the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, "as of this week, 33.5% of Americans age 12 to 15 have received at least one dose of vaccine, with 24.9% fully vaccinated."

Per the CDC, "forty-five and a half percent of Americans 16 to 17 have received at least one dose, with 37.1% fully vaccinated. And 50.5% of Americans 18 to 24 have had at least one dose, with 41.6% fully vaccinated, all of these younger groups far behind the national average."

Biden is also doing his part to spread awareness about the importance of getting vaccinated as a younger person.

He posted an photo of a young Joe Biden to his Instagram and captioned it, “I know this young person would've gotten vaccinated, but we've got to get other young people protected as well. Who's willing to help?"

In addition to doing her part to spread the good word of the CDC, Olivia has also been doing her part to NOT stay out of the way of paparazzi’s camera lens.

The Blast previously reported that Olivia seemingly confirmed her relationship status with Adam Faze by sharing some major PDA while out and about.

News of the new couple came about last month after they were spotted getting cuddly and cozy at Six Flags Magic Mountain while attending the ‘Space Jam 2’ premiere party.

Olivia brought Adam as her plus one.

A partygoer at Six Flags captured a sweet moment between the new couple and posted the video to TikTok.
