Meghan McCain is weighing in on Marjorie Taylor Greene's latest political moves.

The former Republican congresswoman, who has recently distanced herself from Donald Trump amid their feud, has been making media rounds. However, McCain isn't buying it.

The former “The View” co-host is speculating Greene's reinvention is less about growth and more about ambition.

McCain didn't hold back as she accused Greene of eyeing a coveted seat on the hot topics table with the guise of a political makeover.

“I don't care how often she auditions for a seat at The View - this woman is not moderate, and no one should be buying her pathetic attempt at rebrand,” McCain wrote on her X account.

Her criticism came in response to an Axios report in which Greene denied alerting activist group Code Pink about the restaurant where President Trump was dining in September last year.

According to the report, Greene said “she recommended the restaurant to Trump but didn't know when he would go there.”

Addressing the controversy, the “Citizen McCain” podcast host warned of the potential danger, writing:

"It's legitimately so dangerous if Marjorie Taylor Greene did this." She added, “Code Pink are bunch insane radicals and someone could have gotten hurt. This happened after the assassination attempts on President Trump.”

McCain's accusations that Greene is aiming for a seat on ABC’s Daytime Talk show follow Greene's recent appearances on the show.

On January 7, she joined the panel, where co-host Sunny Hostin challenged her over past transphobic remarks and other divisive rhetoric she made during her time in office. Hostin also pressed Greene on whether she had apologized to political colleagues, such as Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and Jasmine Crockett.

"I don't want to be part of that anymore," Greene responded. "I want to focus on politics, policies, and actions instead of individuals, because our country is so divided." She added that she has apologized for her past statements.

Despite McCain’s speculation, Entertainment Weekly later confirmed that the panel is currently full and that there is no truth to claims that Greene is being considered as a permanent cohost.

As McCain continues to criticize her political shift, Greene has further distanced herself from Trump.

Last month, The Blast reported that the former Georgia representative spoke publicly about her past alliance with Trump, claiming their falling-out led to serious threats against her.

The feud reportedly began in October 2025 after Greene sided with Democrats in Congress over the extension of healthcare coverage. Tensions escalated when she opposed the leader’s handling of the Jeffrey Epstein files and signed a petition calling for their release.

In response, Trump took to his Truth Social platform, labeling Greene a "traitor" and comparing her to a "rotten apple." Greene alleged that the post sparked a wave of threats, including a pipe bomb threat directed at her home.

She also claimed that many Republicans in Congress were not initially loyal to Trump and only aligned with him after his 2024 victory. According to Greene, lawmakers became fearful of crossing the president, worried about backlash from his social media outbursts.

McCain's opposition to Greene joining “The View” marks a notable shift from her previous stance advocating for a conservative voice on the panel.

As The Blast reported, in 2024, following Trump's election win, McCain criticized her former employers for not including a conservative woman on the show.

"It is actual malfeasance on the part of ABC news that there isn't one single conservative woman on The View this morning who voted for Trump or simply isn't repulsed by his supporters to explain to America why he is still so popular,” McCain blasted at that time.

McCain has also been vocal towards other conservative voices. In November last year, she condemned Megyn Kelly's remarks suggesting Epstein was not a pedophile.

Kelly claimed she had insider knowledge of the case and insisted Epstein was not attracted to 8-year-olds but rather to “young teens.”

According to The Blast, McCain slammed Kelly’s view as “disgusting,” and stressed that the legal definition was that anyone under eighteen is considered a child.
