Bethenny Frankel has spilled the tea on how she recently got a facial infection.
The media personality was hit with the infection while on a holiday trip with her daughter and friends at St. Barths. As a result, her schedule was changed, and the trip was inevitably cut short; despite this, she had a great time.
Another heartbreaking incident occurred in the same time frame. Bethenny Frankel was hit with the news of the passing of her longtime friend and makeup artist, Jason Kaplan. This tragic loss was beyond her expectations of the way to begin a new year.
Bethenny Frankel Points Fingers At Hotel Towels

Who would have thought that the bright white towels in hotel rooms could cause a bacterial infection? Frankel shared the update, claiming the bacterial infection she contracted on her face in St. Barts over New Year's was the result of hotel towels.
She said that it was her daughter, Bryn, who initially recognised it from the rash she got because she had previously had the same infection. "It happened once to my daughter, and she was the one who recognized it when it happened to me, and it started to happen to her," she said.
The media personality uploaded a TikTok where she explained how bacteria easily breed on towels and sheets as they are not cleaned immediately after use. She even threw in a joke about how the hotel linens are not magically cleansed by the "towel fairy."
The Bravo Alum Is Forever Scarred By This Experience
The 55-year-old went on explaining that even towels and face cloths that are well cleaned still hold some amount of bacteria. She claimed her information source was a dermatologist/facialist.
She also cited other fertile grounds for bacteria to breed, such as makeup sponges, brushes, and powder puffs. Ultimately, the media personality decided that she will never, ever in her life use a hotel towel or a sheet again, as the experience is not something she would love to relive.
Many commenters fell in line with her school of thought, writing that although sheets and towels are bleached, it is still ineffective as they are cleaned in large numbers. Others affirmed her stance, disclosing how they also pack their personal towels and sheets when travelling.
