Jason Sudeikis is speaking out about his breakup from long-time girlfriend and the mother of his children, Olivia Wilde, for the first time ever.

The “Ted Lasso” actor and creator recently opened up to GQ about his years-long career in the industry, 'TL’ and his split from Wilde.

Sudeikis and Wilde originally met in 2011 at a ‘SNL’ afterparty and got engaged in 2013.

The former couple, who never officially tied the knot, welcomed their first child, a son, named Otis, in April 2014. Then in 2016 they welcomed their second child, a daughter, named Daisy.

Speaking to Net-a-Porter’s Porter Edit in February 2016, Wilde explained how she believed becoming a parent alongside Sudeikis was a stronger commitment for the couple than tying the knot.

“We are seriously connected,” she said. “Before you have a child, marriage is the ultimate commitment and promise to one another, and then once you have a child, it’s like, ‘Oh, we’re committed and promised already.’”

However, in 2020 the long-time couple split, which not only shocked fans, but Sudeikis himself.

The “Horrible Bosses” actor explained to GQ that the couple formally went their separate ways in November 2020.

By January 2021, Wilde was making headlines for a new relationship...with former One Direction singer, Harry Styles.

Sudeikis admitted he didn’t even have a clear understanding about the end of their relationship at the time Wilde and Styles were spotted holding hands at a wedding.

The new couple reportedly met while filming “Don’t Worry Darling,” in which Styles stars, and Wilde stars and directs.

Sudeikis hopes to have a better understanding of their breakup as time goes on.

“I'll have a better understanding of why in a year,” Sudeikis said, “and an even better one in two, and an even greater one in five, and it'll go from being, you know, a book of my life to becoming a chapter to a paragraph to a line to a word to a doodle.”

According to GQ, right now he is just trying to figure out what he is supposed to take away, about himself, from what had happened.

“That's an experience that you either learn from or make excuses about,” he said. “You take some responsibility for it, hold yourself accountable for what you do, but then also endeavor to learn something beyond the obvious from it.”

It Used To Be Love, But It's Over Now

Sudeikis has also moved on with a new love interest.

The actor is reportedly in a relationship his “Ted Lasso” co-star, Keeley Hazell, and the new couple went public with their romance in late June.

In photos obtained by People Magazine, Sudeikis and Hazell were seen walking the streets of New York City arm-in-arm with big smiles across their face. They even exchanged a hug.

A source close to Sudeikis revealed to People, "They've been dating for a little while now. They're just having fun. It's nothing serious at this point."
