Whenever she called him up for the littlest reasons, he'd respond with "Teddi, you can have a thought without asking me if it's…you know, figure it out yourself, you don't have to ask me everything, you know?" the musician recalled with a laugh.
He also acknowledged that raising his children was not smooth sailing and there were times he had lost them, but ultimately, they always found their way back.

Teddi shared a significant update which brought a lot of rejoicing in the hearts of fans and celebrities alike. In October 2025, she revealed that her cancer was gone while appearing on her "Two T's in a Pod" podcast.
She disclosed that her scans after the immunotherapy treatment did not show any detectable cancer. She added that she was not totally out of the woods, but things looked promising, and she was going to continue with the treatments as she was not in remission yet.
At that time, even Teddi was shocked by her progress because she had gone through some near-death experiences. As shared by The Blast, she was going to continue with the immunotherapy for about three years before she could be considered to be in remission. The positive news gave her hope and excitement at the time.

As earlier stated, the news of her diagnosis came in 2022; at the time, it was stage 2 melanoma. She underwent several procedures over the years to deal with the cancer-related tumors.
These efforts seemed to be to no avail as her condition worsened with time. The cancer progressively spread to her brain and lungs and had become stage 4 by April 2025.
The TV star turned to immunotherapy, had multiple surgeries, and was exposed to some amount of radiation. The immunotherapy, although promising, also had its side effects.
The treatment left her mentally exhausted and weak. There were times she could not put her words together into a coherent sentence. Upon sharing this with her physicians, they decided to give her body a break and place her on some steroids till she felt strong enough to continue with the treatments.
In the meantime, Teddi went through a phase of self-blame and criticism. She blamed her past actions towards her family as the reason for her ill health.
