Recently widowed Erika Kirk and former NFL star Tom Brady became the subject of a viral post earlier this week on X.

A page named Hoops Crave claimed that the duo were "reportedly dating," a post that has since gathered over 13 million views on X and spread to other social media platforms. It also sparked widespread speculation among users curious about the validity of the claim.

Now, Lead Stories, a fact-checking website, has debunked the dating rumor as false.

The site noted that no credible reports currently exist to back up the wild claim apart from the single post shared by the Hoops Crave account.

The fact-checking outlet also pointed out that the Hoops Crave account includes a parody disclaimer in its bio, indicating that statements from the page should not be taken as factual.

While Erika and Brady have yet to address the rumor, it is well known that they are both currently single.

Erika recently became widowed after her husband, Charlie Kirk, was brutally assassinated last year at an event for Turning Point, the nonprofit organization he founded. The two shared two children before the tragic incident.

Meanwhile, Brady has been single since his 2022 split from Gisele Bündchen, his wife of 13 years. He shares two children with the supermodel, Benjamin and Vivian, and has another child, Jack, with his ex, Bridget Moynahan.
