Halle Bailey finally completed the Disney journey that she started when she was 18-years-old!
The younger half of the sister singing group, Chloe X Halle, announced that she has finished filming "The Little Mermaid" on Monday, July 12. Halle shared a beautiful picture of herself coming out of the water like Ariel as she reflected on her long but worthwhile journey. The live-action project took longer than expected due to the pandemic, but the actress said she grew and learned throughout the difficult experience.
"and just like that..that’s a wrap ❤️after auditioning for this film when i was 18 just about to turn 19 , to now finishing filming through a pandemic when i turned 21 ..we have finally made it...💖" Bailey wrote on social media.

Halle continued, "i feel so grateful to have experienced this film in all of its glory..it has been the toughest experience being away from everything and everyone i’ve ever known, to feeling self doubt/ loneliness, but also feeling such freedom and perseverance as i’ve reached the end. this experience has made me so much stronger than i ever thought i could be."
The humble star then thanked her famous co-stars.
"i’m so grateful to have such lovely and talented people in the cast like @jonahhauerking that will be my friend for infinite lifetimes, @jacobtremblay who i’m so proud of 🥺and legends like @bardemantarctic @melissamccarthy @awkwafina @daveeddiggs who are masters of their craft but are so welcoming and open to little old me..as well as to the rest of the beautiful cast and crew."

Last but not least, she thanked Sardinia, the stunning Italian island where the movie was filmed.
"i cannot wait for time to speed up so you all can watch this film because it was made with so much love (plus blood sweat and tears) lol thank you sardinia for a wonderful ending!!! xoxo."
Sisterly Love
Halle's big sister and partner in crime, Chloe Bailey, was one of the first people to comment on her post. The tight sisters have been separated ever since the production started filming again, and they seem eager to reconnect.
"SO PROUD OF YOU!!!!! now come back home to me!!!!! ❤️❤️❤️❤️" Chloe wrote.
Back To Black
Hours after Halle's passionate wrap post, she took to her IG story to show off her new hair color old hair color. The beautiful actress kept her hair under wraps (literally) on social media but seemed to have returned to her natural color. She shared a video of her in the stylist's chair and set the clip to "Back To Black" by Amy Winehouse.
We can't wait to see what she looks like as Ariel!
