Celine Dion's Goofy Side Steals The Spotlight In A Relatable Video

Celine Dion proved to the fans that there is a human side to her absolutely angelic persona!

The vocal maestro left her fans wanting more during a candid session where she took her teeming social media followers and admirers through what is contained in her purse.

Celine Dion has spent the last few years fighting the effects of stiff-person syndrome on her health, including a ten-minute seizure episode, which she spoke about in her documentary.

On Monday, the star put a comedic twist on her latest video where she identified the daily essentials anyone would find in her bag. Dion began the video dressed in a black hoodie with "CELINE" boldly inscribed on it, paired with white pants.

She packed her beautiful blonde hair into a messy bun as she pulled out an oversized, patterned purse and placed it on the table. "Celine, This is what's in my bag. I live in Vegas, so it's hot," the star began as she yanked out a cream-colored hand fan from the purse.

Dion also brought out a mini dog cookie bar for her two dogs, followed by a pack of Mentos for the accidental bad breath and hand sanitizer to keep the germs at bay. The singer also showed the fans her favorite hand cream, lipstick, and her own microphone.

"Just in case something happens, people ask me to sing happy birthday, I'm ready," the singer noted as she belted out one of her hit tunes and took the fan on a quick vocal whirlwind.

The star touched on the struggle of walking around with her own VIP badge these days because people find it hard to believe she is really the one purchasing stuff at stores.

Dion added another humorous twist to her mini presentation by sharing that sometimes she gets tempted to take her old phone and call emergency services to ask for help. The singer also took out her favorite lip gloss to help her lips survive the dry winds of Las Vegas.

Dion wrapped up the slightly chaotic video with a brief performance on her personal microphone as the scene closed. Nevertheless, the fun continued in the comment section where her teeming fans commended her for being so funny and honest.

Over 11 thousand commenters wanted more of the singer's goofy energy as model Kimora Lee Simmons was front row with the love and fire emoji. Former E! Star Jessie James Decker praised Dion's mind blowing "Aries Energy" with a fire emoji, earning a love emoji response from the stage queen.

"Yah!!! You're finally sharing more about your life. I'm here for it all! Love it," a third commenter wrote under the video. One more user described the singer as a global gem and asked everyone to protect her.

Another admirer seized the moment to ask for the brand and shade of the gloss Dion used at the end of her video. "Only true fans know how just how big of a NUT you are, and that's why we f-cking ADORE you," a user stated.

One fan expressed that they suddenly feel less guilty about what is in their bag, now that Dion has spilled her, and they are on a current mission to fit a piano in there.

On her 88th birthday, The Blast noted that the pianist dedicated a nice post to Dion for her impeccable rendition of "The First Time I Ever Saw Your Face."

The song was reportedly written by Flack in 1969, and was performed by Dion during her second one-off television special "All the Way... A Decade of Song," which was broadcast by CBS in November 1999.

Back then, during the performance, Dion gushed about Flack, admitting that the song is a beautiful one, which she enjoyed performing due to its lyrics, and because of the "spectacular singer who originally recorded it."

She captioned the social media post thanking the "Titanic" singer for blessing the song with her "luminous shine," which had her "touched and thrilled." Flack concluded the post by thanking Dion for her unending love.

The singer was diagnosed with the rare autoimmune neurological disorder about 4 years ago, which comes with uncontrollable spasms, seizures, and muscle stiffness.

The Blast shared that she decided to let fans into what really goes on behind the scenes as she battled the disorder in a documentary on Amazon Prime.

In the preview of the documentary, the clip was shared as a preview, which showed the singer suffering one of her episodes right in the middle of a consultation with medical professionals. The star struggled to catch her breath while she expressed pangs of pain in front of the camera crew.

She was quickly attended to with several doses of nasal sprays, which help relieve the effects of cluster seizures. Dion slowly regained normalcy after about 10 minutes of the spasms and seizure, but it did leave her with a poignant feeling.

"Every time something like this happens, it makes you feel so embarrassed and so, like, I don't know how to express it, it's just… you know, like to not have control of yourself," Dion declared to the camera crew.

The illness forced the singer out of the public space for a minute as the unpredictability of the spasms made it challenging to perform. Dion was forced to cancel her European tour dates, which were set to begin in 2024.

She also postponed her Las Vegas residency in October 2021 and canceled her North American tour while carrying out several medical tests to ascertain her condition. 

However, in her documentary, she expressed her burning desire to return to doing what she loves. "The people, I miss them. If I can't run, I'll walk. If I can't walk, I'll crawl. And I won't stop. I won't stop," she emphasized.

Dion has not been one to shy away from her adoration for her craft, as she often admitted that she enjoys performing in front of fans and creating her own magic, which feels even better.
