Aaron Rodgers' Foul-Mouthed Response To Journalist's Mike Tomlin Question Slammed: 'He Should Retire'

Aaron Rodgers not only dropped the f-bomb during a press conference following the Pittsburgh Steelers' Wild Card loss to the Houston Texans on Monday night, but also stormed out after he was asked a question about coach Mike Tomlin's future.

The move has raised eyebrows and led to heated debate online, with fans calling out the famous quarterback's behavior.

Speculations are rife as to Aaron Rodgers' future in the NFL following a dismal turn of results for the Steelers, but he said he's "not going to make any emotional decisions."

Rodgers was visibly frustrated after the Pittsburgh Steelers' season ended in a humbling 30-6 blowout loss to the Houston Texans on Monday night.

The star quarterback sat for what could be his final post-game press conference and not only dropped the F-bomb, but also stormed off the podium following repeated questions regarding head coach Mike Tomlin's job security.

Apparently, Rodgers gave a lengthy answer in support of Tomlin following an initial question, after which he then received another question about the coach, but he just couldn't bear it.

"I've answered that a number of times," he told the reporter, per the New York Post. "I've talked extensively about how I feel about Mike — and I just did in that f-cking answer, so."

With that, the four-time MVP stood up and exited the room, leaving an awkward silence behind him.

Rodgers' comments swiftly led to mixed reactions online. A person wrote on X, "Sports journalists are so bad," while another stated, "Always one party pooper reporter that ruins it for everyone."

However, some criticized Rodgers, with a person commenting sarcastically, "He had all. The mobility of a carnival cruise ship Last night. He should retire. Great career. Time to hang 'em up."

Monday night's loss to the Houston Texans brought Rodgers and his teammates' playoff season to a close.

It now means they have lost 7 straight playoff games, and last won a postseason game on January 15, 2017.

It wasn't a good night for Rodgers, who completed 17 of 33 passes for 146 yards and no touchdowns, while being sacked 4 times for a loss of 36 total yards. His yardage and rating were all career postseason lows, along with the 6 points scored.

Meanwhile, Tomlin still has his 19-year streak of non-losing seasons in place, but tongues are already wagging as to how the Steelers have become stale. It follows as speculations about his future continue to mount, but he's not allowing it to get to him.

"I'm not even in that mindset as I sit here tonight," Tomlin said after he was asked about a decision on his future, per reports. "I'm more in the mindset of what transpired in this stadium and certainly what we did and didn't do. Not a big-picture mentality as I sit here tonight."

Rodgers' disappointing performance, as well as Monday's disappointing loss, have led to questions about his future.

According to Fox News, NFL broadcaster and former football player Troy Aikman brought up the reminder that Rodgers could be hanging up his boots after the game, especially as the future Hall of Famer is currently a free agent, having signed a one-year deal with the Pittsburgh Steelers last summer.

"I think we are watching Aaron Rodgers' last game and what we saw of Philip Rivers this year when he came out and decided to come out of retirement and play for the Colts, who knows what next year might bring," Aikman said. "He might be willing to come in at some point if a team needs a quarterback. I doubt that will happen."

"I don't imagine he's gonna say he wants to come back and sign with the Steelers again or with another team," the broadcaster added.

Rodgers weighed in on the speculations about his NFL future, noting that he's not in a rush to make a decision.

"I'm not going to make any emotional decisions," he told reporters after the game when pressed about his future. "Disappointed, obviously. Such a fun year. Lot of adversity, a lot of fun."

Rodgers added that he would "get away and have the right conversations" before deciding whether he wants to come back for a 22nd season or not.

The NFL star has one of the most storied careers, having picked up the MVP 4 times and won the Super Bowl once.

Rodgers played for the Steelers, Green Bay Packers, and New York Jets, and was a 10-time Pro Bowler.

He racked up 66,274 passing yards and 527 passing touchdowns in 264 games, and also amassed 163 regular-season wins in 257 starts as a quarterback.
