There were also shots of the lovebirds with their four children, but the highlight of the post was McGregor's caption. He penned a lengthy message about his union with Devlin, claiming a higher power had been in play as they said their vows on the 12th day of the 12th month of the year 2025 at exactly 12:12 pm.

McGregor then compared himself to Jesus Christ, noting that their names add up to 151 in gematria, and he tied the knot 151 days after his 37th birthday. He believed these occurrences, including getting married at the Vatican's oldest church, "are unmistakable signs of divine orchestration."

McGregor's tales of divine alignment continued, with claims that the Vatican had contacted him a week before the wedding for a new date. They wanted the wedding moved forward, allowing the athlete to tie the knot on 12/12 at precisely 12:12 pm, per his recollection.

Additionally, McGregor alleged that he felt compelled to tie the knot as soon as possible to Devlin after waking up from his Mexico operation. "It is clear this was not a coincidence. God's hand guided every detail, confirming His blessing on our union and His presence in my life," he claimed.

McGregor doubled down on his love for God, declaring that serving him will always be his number one priority, followed by his wife, his children, and finally his parents. The devout believer signed off by raving about his love for God and his family.

McGregor's impassioned post struck a chord with fans, who flooded the comments with their support. Many resonated with his belief that his wedding to Devlin stemmed from divine intervention, with someone noting: "When meaning lines up, you feel it."

As stated in his recent Instagram post, McGregor underwent treatment in Mexico weeks before his wedding. He first addressed the subject on X in November 2025, revealing he had undergone Ibogaine treatment at AMBIO.

According to McGregor, he underwent a series of treatments to address trauma, claiming the procedures were "incredible, intense, and absolutely eye-opening." His religious side also popped out, with tales of meeting God.

McGregor explained that he was shown his death and was looking out from his coffin when God appeared to him in the Holy Trinity to anoint him with a crown. "I was saved! My brain. My heart. My soul. Healed!" the MMA star wrote.

Years before his trauma treatment and divine-aligned wedding, McGregor and Devlin met at a Dublin nightclub in 2008. PEOPLE reported that the new Mrs. McGregor had been working at the club when she caught her husband's eye, and they hit things off.

They welcomed their first child in 2017, then their second in 2019, followed by a third in 2023, and finally their fourth in 2023. McGregor popped the big question in August 2020 on Devlin's 33rd birthday, then they tied the knot five years later.
