Zara Larsson Seemingly Calls Out The Government For Criminalization Of Marijuana

In a subsequent post, Larsson noted that she was receiving significant pushback in her direct messages from people referring to immigrants as "criminals."
Continuing, Larsson explained that she's unable to see her boyfriend—rumored to be Swedish dancer Lamin Holmén—as often as she'd like because he can't visit the United States due to his "criminal record."
Larsson stated that her partner had previously been in trouble with the law over a marijuana charge. However, she implied that because it had been so long since he last used, it shouldn't matter.
"We spend months and months apart every year because of a little spliff over 6 years ago," she said. "I'm not saying it should be legal ... wait ... yes I am."

"[They're] killing, kidnapping, violent, hateful ones."
Larsson's statements garnered praise on social media, with one user applauding her for not "even [being] from the US and still [understanding] it."
Another user wrote, "She's so real for this. I'ma have to go give her some streams."

According to a previous report from The Blast, community members in the state of Minnesota have been on edge since January 7, when reports confirmed a woman named Renee Good was killed following a tense interaction with an ICE agent.
Videos of the horrifying moment circulated on social media, showing an ICE agent approaching Good's vehicle—which was partly blocking a lane—before trying to open the door. As she attempted to drive away, the agent opened fire, killing Good on the scene.
President Donald Trump and Secretary of the Department of Homeland Security accused Good of using her vehicle as a weapon, causing the agent to fire. Democratic leaders, though, have denied the claims.

Additionally, Golden State Warriors head coach Steve Kerr addressed the fatal shooting at the Chase Center in San Francisco on January 9, 2026.
Kerr praised the Minnesota Timberwolves organization for recognizing Good's life with a moment of silence before the game. He then stated how tragic it was that "law enforcement officers" could "seemingly commit murder ... and get away with it."
"So, very demoralizing, devastating to lose anyone’s life, especially in that manner," Kerr, who helped coach the 2024 Olympic team, added. "So it’s terrible, terribly sad for her family, and for her, and that city, and I’m glad the Timberwolves came out and expressed that sadness."
Actor Simu Liu shared a post on X, condemning ICE for their "murderous actions," while Cynthia Nixon called for the agency's permanent removal.
Billie Eilish, too, chimed in by resharing a post slamming ICE, calling them a "federally funded and supported terrorist group."
