Jenny McCarthy would definitely keep being on camera, but just never for "The View" again.
The Playboy model, who was recently open about her difficult 2025, shared that her mind has been completely made up on a possible return to the show after experiencing their terrible, unprofessional firing.
Jenny McCarthy rose to fame in the 90s from being a model and as the co-host of MTV's hit show, "Singled Out." She has made a career from acting, appearing in a number of movies, and remains popular with the online community for her strong anti-vaccine stance.
Jenny McCarthy Says 'Over My Dead Body' About 'The View' Return

McCarthy was a guest on this week's episode of "The Katie Miller" podcast, where she spilled the tea on her experience on the show. She was a host on the talk show for a brief period, spanning from 2013 to 2014.
She was asked if she would return to the show, considering where they currently are politically. Her response covered a description of her narrative behind being chosen for the role. She said they thought she was too polarizing and said this as a good reason to bring her back on.
Initially, her role on the show's desk was to give light, fluffy, and fun commentary on "The Bachelor" and "Dancing with the Stars," but that only ran through for a week.
When they disclosed to her their intentions of switching things up and getting political, she panicked, thinking, "Oh my God, what am I going to do?" At that time, she did not consider herself to be a political person, unlike currently.
To actually respond to the question, McCarthy said on the podcast, "They've asked me to come back for, like, reunion shows. I was like, over my dead body would I ever step foot in that place." Her words clearly indicate that she has completely closed that chapter of her life.
The 'Masked Singer' Judge Was Not The Only Cast Member Let Off The Show

McCarthy was on the seventeenth season of the show as a permanent host along with Barbara Walters, Sherri Shepherd, and Whoopi Goldberg. She called the day when she, as well as a lot of other hosts and producers, were let go.
At that time, she was already fed up and even said in an interview that she was begging to be fired. She recalled the day when her co-host Shepherd came into her dressing room in tears to break the news, saying, "I was just let go."
Later in the day, she got a call from her agent informing her that she was off the show as well. She described the day as a massacre, comparing it to the red wedding in "Game of Thrones." In total, about 17 people were fired on the same day.
She felt relief that she was finally leaving but felt bad for others like Shepherd and former executive producer Bill Geddie, who created the show alongside Walters. Her opinion was succinct: the way the firing was done was "terribly unprofessional."
The Former Playboy Model Previously Said The Network Lied To Her

McCarthy disclosed that ABC initially said they were going to keep her on the show. Holding them to that word, she turned down other work at the time.
She explained that this was towards the end of the season, her agent reached out to them, asking if she was going to continue working with them going forward. She said that they reached out to ABC because she was receiving job offers she would have loved to take.
They allegedly responded, "Yeah, she's fine, we're going to bring her back, we love her," but it turned out to be a lie to prevent her from taking the next job. PEOPLE reported that even her co-host, Shepherd, was looking at other opportunities, trying to renegotiate with them.
McCarthy laid her cards out, sharing that she was a single mother with a special needs child, so becoming stranded was not a good fit. In the end, they allegedly did not keep to their words and let her go.
The Formless Beauty Founder Said She Was Grateful To Work With Barbara Walters

Despite the negatives and controversy from working on "The View," The model had a positive takeaway. As earlier stated, she was initially brought on for her fun personality.
Still, after a week, the producers asked her to act Republican, even though she leans towards more conservative views. The creator, Walters, wanted to go back to politics and hardcore fighting, but that did not sit right with McCarthy.
Nevertheless, she felt grateful for the opportunity to work with Walters. Describing herself as lucky, Star Magazine shared that she said lasting a year on the show helped her bond really well with Walters, who was already showing signs of dementia.
Inside Jenny McCarthy's Rough 2025

During the past holiday, McCarthy got candid about her health struggles. She revealed that she had been under the knife nine times in the year, mainly due to a dental issue.
The Blast shared that the issue led to recurring infections, causing her to lose weight and the ability to eat solid foods. She was placed on antibiotics for a year, and every time she thought the infections were gone, she relapsed once more. The infections also affected her eyeballs.
After undergoing a root cavitation procedure in August, she shared a video where she was seen to be under anesthesia, struggling to form her sentences. She later revealed that she had no memory of what happened after the surgery, including the filming of the video.
Wishing Jenny McCarthy a happier 2026!
