Jennifer Lopez Finally Speaks Out About Her Love Life In New Interview
By TheBlast Staff on July 12, 2021 at 3:19 PM EDT
There's been a ton of speculation about J. Lo's love life since her split from Alex Rodriguez earlier this year. She didn't take a ton of time off from love, of course. Since she pretty much started dating Ben Affleck as soon as she announced her split from Alex. Although the whole situation played out in a very public way, we hadn't necessarily heard much from Jen on the matter. Now, she's talking about how her current mood is going to affect her music. Don't expect a ton of heartbroken songs as her next singles!
A Cryptic Message About Her Split From A-Rod
In the interview, with Apple Music 1's Ebro Darden, J. Lo doesn't necessarily talk about her partners by name. She did talk about however how she approached her decision to split from the former baseball star. Also hinting at the fact that some "misconduct" from Rodriguez could have been to blame. She mentioned,
"Once I realized that, things [happened]. Things happen that you don't expect to ever happen,"
It was heavily speculated that Rodriguez had been unfaithful in their relationship. If not necessarily physically he was sliding into ladies' DMs from time to time. JLo's words seem to confirm some of these rumors.
Deciding To The Pull The Plug On A Relationship
Pulling the plug on relationships that she feels don't necessarily work isn't something that JLo is a stranger to. The "On the floor" singer has been divorced numerous times already. Also, she called off her wedding to her current hubby when something didn't feel right. Lopez mentioned this about the process she goes through when letting go of a relationship,
"Once you get to the point where you're like, 'This is not right for me, or this doesn't feel good, or I need to make an adjustment here. This is not really about anybody else but me.' Once you do that, stuff starts falling into place."
She's Feeling Good
In one of her recent interviews, Lopez had mentioned that she felt good on her own. The fact that she didn't technically stay "on her own" for too long has a lot of people questioning the validity of the statement. In her new interview with Apple Music 1's Ebro Darden that we've been referencing she leaves the part about being on her own out. She does mention though that she is currently very comfortable with where she is in her life.
"I'm good. I love my life right now. I love what I'm doing. I love where I'm at. I love the person that I am continually kind of evolving into and becoming,"
Her Feelings Bleeding Into Her Music
Although Jen is very busy doing movies these days she hasn't completely forgotten about her music. She's got a new single out called "Cambia el Paso" with Rauw Alejandro. Lopez probably hopes that this single can become the Latin summer hit that songs like "Despacito" were able to achieve. If you're expecting some heartbroken songs to come from Jennifer in the upcoming months you may be disappointed. She said that feeling happy is what allows her to make good music. If you want to see whether that's true or not listen to the song below!
