Things are getting messy between Ashley Tisdale and her fellow Disney peer, Hilary Duff, as the latter's husband has officially entered the chat.

Earlier this week, Tisdale's personal essay in "The Cut" about parting ways with people who no longer served her went viral.

Many speculate that the individuals Ashley Tisdale was writing about included fellow celebrities such as Mandy Moore, Meghan Trainor, and, of course, Hilary Duff.

Taking to his Instagram Stories, Duff's husband, Matthew Koma, shared a photo of himself photoshopped onto Tisdale's body. In the picture, Koma is mimicking Tisdale's pose from the cover shoot of her essay in "The Cut."

Koma also added a fictional headline to his image, which read, "When You're The Most Self Obsessed Tone Deaf Person On Earth, Other Moms Tend To Shift Focus To Their Actual Toddlers." He added, "A Mom Group Tell All Through A Father's Eyes."

Koma didn't stop there, though. If it wasn't clear enough, he took the biggest jab at Tisdale with his photo caption: "Read my new interview with @TheCut."

Koma's post about Tisdale comes days after the "High School Musical" actress published a personal essay about leaving her "toxic" mom group. In the writing, Tisdale explained how thrilled she was to have found a group of friends after giving birth during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Tisdale added that over time, she noticed her relationships with the group of women changing, as they allegedly began leaving her out of social gatherings. "Another time, at one of the mom's dinner parties, I realized where I sat with her — which was at the end of the table, far from the rest of the women," she added. "I was starting to feel frozen out of the group, noticing every way that they seemed to exclude me."

Tisdale Said Things Were Becoming Too 'High School' For Her

Tisdale shared that her attempts at not taking the apparent snubs personally didn't work for her. Instead, she sent the women a text explaining why she was leaving their friend group. "This is too high school for me, and I don't want to take part in it anymore," she said.

Tisdale, who has two daughters with husband Christopher French, explained that she's already experienced enough challenges in motherhood, and staying in a situation that no longer serves you isn't worth the time.

"You deserve to go through motherhood with people who actually, you know, like you. And if you have to wonder if they do, here’s the hard-earned lesson I hope you’ll take to heart: It’s not the right group for you. Even if it looks like they’re having the best time on Instagram," she concluded.

According to a report from The Blast, a spokesperson from Tisdale's team responded to the claims that Tisdale was writing about parting ways with the aforementioned celebrities. The representative stated that Tisdale's words were not directed at any particular celebrity.

Instead, she was sharing about her decision to leave a "toxic mom group." However, given Koma's specific and pointed reaction, it suggests the essay may have hit closer to home and been far more targeted than her team is willing to admit.
