Just days before filing a lawsuit accusing Will Smith of sexual harassment, violinist Brian King Joseph posted a cryptic message urging people to speak up, a video that has taken on new meaning in the wake of his explosive legal claims. Joseph, a former "America’s Got Talent" finalist, shared the emotional Instagram video in December 2025, telling followers that he had landed a dream opportunity touring with a major figure in the entertainment industry, only for things to take a troubling turn behind the scenes.

“Earlier this year, I was hired to be a performer on a major, major tour with somebody who was huge in the industry,” Joseph said in the video. “So I was excited, you know, proud of myself for getting the opportunity. Unfortunately, some things happened.”

At the time, Joseph said he could not go into details, citing an ongoing legal matter, but emphasized that retaliation for reporting misconduct should never be tolerated. “Getting fired or getting blamed or shamed or threatened or anything like that simply for reporting sexual misconduct or safety threats at work is not okay,” he said.

He closed the message by addressing others who may be afraid to come forward. “I understand, and if that’s you, I see you,” Joseph said. “More updates to come soon.”

As The Blast reported, last Tuesday, Joseph filed a lawsuit against Will Smith alleging a “traumatic series of events” occurred while he was working on Smith’s global tour last year.

Smith’s attorney, Allen B. Grodsky, strongly denied the allegations in a statement to Page Six. “The complaint is false, baseless and reckless,” Grodsky said. “The allegations are categorically denied, and we will use all legal means available to address these claims and to ensure that the truth is brought to light.”

According to the filing, Joseph claims Smith “deliberately groomed and primed” him “for further sexual exploitation” after inviting him to join the tour in November 2024. Joseph says the situation escalated during the tour’s March 2025 stop in Las Vegas.

Joseph alleges that while staying at a Las Vegas hotel, he discovered signs of forced entry into his room, along with what he described as a “sexual threat of violence.” The violinist claims a handwritten note was left behind that read, “Brian, I’ll be back… just us,” signed by “Stone F” with a heart.

He further alleges that the room contained unfamiliar items, including wipes, a beer bottle, a red backpack, an earring, hospital discharge paperwork belonging to another individual, and a bottle of HIV medication with someone else’s name on it. Joseph said the discovery left him fearful, with court filings noting he worried someone would return to his room to engage in unwanted sexual acts.

After the incident, Joseph says he promptly alerted hotel security, contacted a non-emergency police line, and notified Smith’s management team. He also photographed the items allegedly left behind and requested to be moved to a different room.

In the filing, Joseph stresses that his actions were motivated solely by safety concerns. He states that he “made clear that his only concern was safety and that he did not wish to receive any special treatment or compensation.” Joseph further maintains that he never sought financial gain or special favors in connection with reporting the incident.

The lawsuit also notes that hotel room access information was distributed via a shared spreadsheet provided to band and crew members, arguing that only crew members or hotel staff would have had access to his room.

After reporting the incident to hotel staff, Joseph claims he was confronted by a member of the tour’s management team, shamed for speaking up, and ultimately fired. According to the lawsuit, his termination led to “severe emotional distress, economic loss, reputational harm and other damages,” as well as symptoms consistent with PTSD and other mental health issues.

At this time, the case remains ongoing.
