Marlon Wayans Opens Up About 'Natural Instinct' To Protect His Trans Son, Kai

On the "We In Miami" podcast, Wayans rejected the title of "spokesperson" for fathers of transgender children, insisting that it's his "natural instinct" to protect his 25-year-old son. "People can judge and say what they want but at the end of the day that's my child," he said.

"And I'm gonna love my baby regardless of what anybody says and they should be allowed to have their anonymity and enjoy their life exactly the way they want to enjoy it."

Wayans went on to say that he's not in the business of persuading his children to be something they're not through outdated, troublesome methods. "You can’t beat gay out of someone. You can’t hypnotize someone to not be transgender. You gotta accept and love them," he said.
