Franky Venegas, a popular hip-hop star, did not spend New Year's Eve in glamour.

The Island Boy was arrested and locked up on Wednesday night, ending the year by marking his third 2025 arrest. As getting arrested is not new to him, the charges this time look different from the ones previously on his record.

Island Boys' Franky Venegas and his twin brother Alex rose to fame in 2021 as Tiktok influencers following the release of their viral hit song "I'm an Island Boy." The brothers have since made headlines for their active involvement in various crimes, ranging from illegal possession of a firearm to reckless driving.

Franky was arrested again for the third time in 2025 in Florida on Wednesday, December 31, 2025. This time, he is locked up for alleged drug-related offences. He posed for a fresh mug shot, showing face tattoos and grillz.

According to a sheriff's report, Franky was with a female companion in the vehicle when they were stopped for a routine traffic stop, and was seen to be acting suspicious. The deputies, in doing their job, allegedly found drugs upon searching the car.

TMZ shared that the obtained report shows that the deputies found unprescribed Zolpidem tartrate, popularly known as Ambien, in a bag with other pills that were prescribed to the woman.

The Island Boy Has Added A New Charge To His Record

Following the search and arrest, Franky was booked into the Collier County Jail in Naples that night on one count of drug paraphernalia and is still behind bars. Since the Tiktok influencer was already out on bond from an arrest in February, he had no bond, as he was on a hold.

His arrest in February 2025 was not drug-related, though; it was for delivering, possessing, and selling a firearm with an altered serial number. He has also been previously arrested for domestic battery, reckless driving, and driving without a license.

His female companion was also booked for the Ambien, since she did not have a prescription to validate her possession of the substance.

More Details On The Rapper's Previous Charges

As earlier stated, last February was quite eventful for the rapper as he had his first arrest for the year. He was booked into Collier County Jail in Naples after getting arrested for alleged gun and drug offenses.

Franky was then charged with possession of a controlled substance without a prescription and with delivering, possessing, or selling an altered firearm.

One-half of the Island Boys was also arrested in Fort Lauderdale in 2024 on three charges. He was charged with operating a motor vehicle without a valid license, providing false ID to a law enforcement officer, and reckless driving.

In the long list of offences, domestic battery also cuts. The Blast shared that two years ago, Franky was taken into custody for a physical altercation with his girlfriend. He allegedly slapped her and pushed her into a pool at their Airbnb in Pompano Beach.

Alex Venegas Also Had An Incident With The Authorities

In November 2025, Alex was reportedly subject to the Baker Act detention. Local Florida authorities took him over the weekend for a psychological evaluation in the middle of a live-streaming session at his residence.

As reported by The Blast, the Sheriff's office received a call in the wee hours of the morning with details of his address, and this prompted them to take action.

Franky was not happy about his brother going through the Baker Act, especially after hearing that they said he could not look after himself. He made sure to clear that Alex was not arrested over any issues.

The Baker Act is a mental health law active in Florida, which gives power to a law enforcement or mental health professional to recommend detainment for anyone believed to be a danger to themselves and to others.

Alex & Franky Venegas's Criminal Record Is Having Negative Effects On The Island Boys

Both boys spent time in juvenile hall, including one stint for over two years. They have been involved in several incidents with the police as teenagers, with their mugshots flying around the internet.

This negativity attached to their reputation has created an ill nuance attached to their name. When they first hit fame, their way of talking and hairstyle also resulted in them being accused of cultural appropriation.

After releasing their first hit, "I'm an Island Boy," they hosted their first concert in Miami, and things did not go too well for the rappers. They were booed off the stage during their performance, and a clip of the moment went viral. Despite this, they still maintain their large following on social media.

What is next for Franky Venegas in 2026?
