Britney Spears’ new personal conservator, Jodi Montgomery, is accusing her father — Jamie Spears — of spending $2 Million of her money defending himself in an attempt to remain as conservator of her estate.
According to new legal documents, Britney’s conservator is slamming her father after he came out claiming he is not responsible for the current conditions of the conservatorship. As we reported, Jamie attempted to blame others for the issues Britney exposed during her heartbreaking testimony. In the filing, a lawyer for Mongomery condemned Jamie and pointed out he is the major problem with this current situation.
“It is ironic that Mr. Spears now wants the conservatorship to ‘reflect her wishes,’ since it is no secret that Ms. Spears has wished her father out of her life for years,” she said.

In a bombshell revelation, the legal filing claims Jamie has used “more than $2 million of his daughter’s money” to defend himself in an attempt to remain in charge of her estate.
As you can imagine, Jodi’s legal team is adamant it is impossible for Jamie to claim ignorance when it comes to the past 21 months of Britney’s life — even if they are not communicating. Why? Because “everything costs money” they wrote, adding, “No expenditures can happen without going through Mr. Spears.” In other words, Jamie Spears always has the final say about things, because they have to be paid for by her estate.
As we reported, Britney Spears places much of the blame squarely on her father and has been asking to remove him from the situation for quite some time. The problem is, even though he stepped down as conservator of her person, he remains in charge of her money.

Jodi Montgomery blasted Jamie Spears, saying, they “should be working as a team to ensure that Ms. Spears’ best interests are being met, that she is on a path to recovery and termination of her conservatorship, and that she is living her best life possible. Instead, Mr. Spears has decided it is time to start the finger-pointing and media attacks.”
It should be noted, Britney Spears accused members of her conservatorship of forcing her to take birth control and holding her back from getting married to her boyfriend. Jodi’s point is that she didn’t come into the fold until 21 months ago, and Britney’s issues stem far back when her dad was in charge of everything.
At this point, Britney is asking to appoint her own lawyer — and she doesn’t want to undergo another medical evaluation. But, several doctors and therapists have been involved with Britney’s care for many years, and we are guessing they will have to weigh in before she is released from the conservatorship.
As for the money, technically Jamie Spears works for Britney’s estate, so any cost associated with its administration gets taken out of her pocket. In other words, that money is long gone.
