The country singer's pet fold gets smaller as she loses another pet over two years after she bade farewell to her adopted dog, Thelma.

Miranda Lambert Paid A Touching Tribute To Her Pet Dog

The musician hopped on Instagram to celebrate the life of her dear pet named Cher, who died very recently. She emphasized that her dog gave her and everyone around 15 years of all the love and all the incredible energy in store.
"And if you have ever had a chi chi, you know what I mean. I adopted her from a shelter when she was 10 weeks old in 2010. I put her in my overalls pocket at the shelter, and that was it!" Lambert explained.
She added that her late dog's first big trip was to the ACM awards in Las Vegas, where they showed up in matching outfits for the red carpet.
"And I won that year, so she did the whole press room with me. Like she has been doing it her whole life. She was on every tour I have done since. Thank you to her sweet soul for all the road miles she traveled," the singer noted.
The country star revealed that her collection of nine rescue dogs has now been reduced to one following Cher's death. Lambert concluded that the heartbreak did not feel any less painful, but her love for rescue dogs remained.

Cher's death dealt another blow to the singer, who revealed on her Instagram two years ago that she lost Thelma after adopting her in 2016 alongside another Great Pyrenees named Louis.
As reported by The Blast, the singer gave an inside look into the dog's relationship with her husband, Brendan McLoughlin, in one of the eight slides she shared on her story.
Lambert shared that the animals were adopted to help her safeguard her farmhouse right at the outskirts of Nashville, where her chickens, kittens, and horses resided.
She noted that the late Thelma and Louise did their jobs very perfectly, and Thelma made perfect use of her time by lounging in the barn by day and staying on night watch, guarding everyone.
Lambert added that her late dog was also very free-spirited and took great advantage of her freedom to do the things she loved. She also revealed that Louise retired shortly before Thelma's death, and it felt very overwhelming to deal with not having her furry friends around.

As the singer belted out tunes on Wallen's set for his millions of fans across America and the world, Lambert's parents and her brother decided to attend the Boston leg of the show and spend some family time together by taking shots backstage.
Lambert happily wrote about the visit as she uploaded images from the show, including slides of her posing with her mother, father, and brother. As noted by Taste of Country, the singer's family has been a recurring force in the journey of her musical career since it took off.
In 2023, the songwriter revealed that her parents took the risk of supporting her music dreams with money meant for her college fees. Her success also came at the cost of missing some crucial family moments.
"There are some really hard days. I missed every birthday party, funeral, and wedding. I mean, I missed everything. I was on the road for 300 days a year. But I am making up for that now, and nobody held it against me," Lambert expressed.
The singer also credited her dad during her induction into the Texas Songwriters Hall of Fame for co-writing songs with her and teaching her how to play the guitar.
Happy Wife, Happy Life! Inside Miranda Lambert's Marriage To Brendan McLoughlin

The duo exchanged their vows in 2019 and have stayed a united bunch ever since, taking over one red carpet at a time with their love story. As shared by PEOPLE, Lambert often raved about her marriage to the retired police officer and how he quickly adapted to her world of limelight and fame.
"It's nice to have a partner in that, someone by your side that supports you, loves you, and believes in you. He loves me for me. It's a really cool thing to have in my life, at this point in my life," the singer shared back in 2022.
The duo first met on the set of "Good Morning America" in 2018, where she was doing a press tour with her former band, and McLoughlin worked in the venue as security. Lambert shared that her friends and her security practically set up a surprise date for both of them.
The star also hinted that the attraction was almost instant, and by January 2019, Lambert and her beau officially became husband and wife, according to her Instagram post.
