Fresh off the buzz from his NFL Christmas Day halftime performance, Snoop Dogg proved once again that when he shows up to a sporting event, anything can happen. The 54-year-old rap legend stole the spotlight Saturday at the Arizona Bowl in Tucson, where he was on the sidelines for the matchup between the Fresno State Bulldogs and Miami RedHawks, and somehow managed to turn a routine interview into one of the game’s most talked-about moments.
Snoop Dogg Proves He Can Do It All After Catching Kickoff Mid Interview

With the score tied 3–3, Snoop was being interviewed near the end zone during a kickoff when he suddenly realized the ball was headed straight for him. “Oh that’s me, that’s me. Watch out, that’s me,” Snoop said mid-interview as he bolted toward the end zone.
The rapper took an impressive dive, snagged the kickoff cleanly, and popped back up to his feet as the crowd erupted, before casually returning to finish the interview like nothing happened. “My bad, my bad… C’mon, I’m just doing it all today, baby,” Snoop joked afterward. “It had to get caught.”
The moment immediately went viral across social media, with fans loving every second of Snoop’s unexpected athletic cameo. “Wtf… Snoop is our guy!! Give him a spot on this team,” one fan wrote.
Others chimed in with praise and humor, adding comments like “Nice catch, Snoop,” “Only Snoop could turn an interview into a highlight,” and “Snoop is a man of the people.” Another summed it up with, “Honestly, every day we still got Snoop is a blessing.”
"Bro made the play!" someone else pointed out as one X user dubbed Snoop a "legend."

Snoop’s presence at the Arizona Bowl wasn’t random. The game was sponsored by the rapper through his Gin & Juice brand, which he co-owns with Dr. Dre.
Earlier this year, Snoop signed a multi-year partnership deal with the Arizona Bowl, founded by the Arizona Sports and Entertainment Commission in 2015, making Gin & Juice by Dre and Snoop the title and presenting sponsor of the game. The deal was officially signed in May 2024, cementing Snoop’s growing footprint in the sports world.

The Arizona Bowl marked the second major sporting event Snoop Dogg has been part of this week alone. Just days earlier, he took the stage during halftime of Game 2 of Netflix and the NFL’s Christmas Day doubleheader between the Minnesota Vikings and Detroit Lions, delivering a performance that had fans' jaws on the floor.
Snoop made his entrance in true larger-than-life fashion, stepping onto the field in a fire-engine red double-breasted suit, topped with a long red coat trimmed in fuzzy red accents. He launched into a high-energy medley of his hits, starting with “The One and Only,” weaving into “My Favorite Things,” and then flipping the switch into “Nuthin’ But a ‘G’ Thang.”
The show was backed by a full-on production, with a small orchestra set up on the field, high-energy dancers rocking candy cane–inspired looks, and a thundering marching band and drumline to top it all off.

Snoop was later joined by Huntr/x, the trio behind Netflix’s smash hit “Kpop Demon Hunters,” for a pop-forward take on “The 12 Days of Christmas.” Moments later, Lainey Wilson rolled in on a white sleigh for a spirited rendition of “Santa Claus Is Coming to Town.”
The spectacle closed on a powerful note when Andrea Bocelli appeared alongside his son Matteo for a duet of “White Christmas,” before Snoop, Wilson, and Huntr/x returned to the stage for a classic TV-special-style finale.
Snoop Dogg Steals The Moment Everywhere He Goes

Between halftime shows, bowl game sponsorships, and casually catching kickoffs mid-interview, Snoop Dogg continues to prove that he doesn’t just show up, but he steals the moment.
And judging by the internet’s reaction, fans wouldn’t have it any other way.
