Taylor Swift looked somber as her fiancé, Travis Kelce, and the Kansas City Chiefs lost 20-13 to the Denver Broncos on Christmas Day.
The defeat, which may have been Kelce's final home game amid retirement speculation, added weight to the moment, with fans reacting online to his fiancée's facial expression.
Taylor Swift attended the game with her parents but has kept a low profile this season while supporting her soon-to-be husband.

Swift was seen looking somber as her fiancé, Kelce, and the Kansas City Chiefs failed to deliver a Christmas Day win.
The Chiefs fell 20-13 to the Denver Broncos in a festive divisional matchup, dimming the holiday spirit at Arrowhead Stadium.
The 36-year-old pop superstar, who announced her engagement to Kelce in August, arrived at the stadium to celebrate her first Christmas as a bride-to-be, alongside her parents, Scott and Andrea.
Swift was shown on Amazon Prime's broadcast entering Arrowhead during the second quarter, dressed in a red leather Chiefs bomber jacket. She was also spotted walking through a stadium tunnel, where she warmly embraced another woman.
Later in the game, the singer appeared downcast while watching from a VIP suite as the Chiefs' loss became inevitable. Kelce's mother, Donna, was also seen in the stands, her expression serious as the final seconds ticked away.

On social media, football fans were quick to react to Swift's facial expression as she watched the Chiefs lose.
A person on X shared a clip of the moment, writing, "Taylor Swift does not seem pleased Travis is losing potentially his last home game ever as a Chief."
Another stated, "This may be the last time we see Taylor Swift at a #ChiefsKingdom game," prompting someone else to ask, "While she's p-ssed off bc of the Chiefs' loss??? It can't end like that, man."
Others directly spoke about Kelce possibly retiring, claiming that he would be ending his football career on a low note due to the latest loss against the Denver Broncos.
"The second he retires, she suddenly won't be a football 'fan' anymore," someone wrote on X.
Travis Kelce Addresses Retirement Uncertainty

With rumors of retirement swirling, the veteran tight end addressed his future in an emotional interview ahead of the game with Chiefs legend Tony Gonzalez.
"I think I'm still searching for those answers," Kelce said. "Obviously the way this one ended with a sour taste in my mouth. I feel motivated, but I've got to make the right decision for myself."
Despite the uncertainty, the three-time Super Bowl champion didn't rule out returning for another season.
"When I know it's over, it's over," he said about potentially returning for another season. "I still have a lot of love for this game. If I came back, it would be just to answer that flame in my heart for this thing."
Taylor Swift Scaled Back Game Appearances During The Recent Football Season

Kelce also acknowledged the toll of the sport, noting that while he could physically play on Sundays for years, the demands off the field make the decision more complex.
Though the Broncos game could mark Kelce's final appearance at Arrowhead, he is still expected to play one last regular-season game against the Raiders in Las Vegas on January 4.
However, it may be the final time fans see Swift in the stands this season. "The Fate of Ophelia" hitmaker has limited her appearances to Chiefs home games this year and has kept a lower profile compared to previous seasons, often entering the stadium discreetly due to security concerns.
Swift hasn't attended a Kansas City Chiefs road game since the team's playoff victory over the Baltimore Ravens in January 2024.
Since then, Swift hasn't watched Kelce play any games away from Arrowhead Stadium, except last season's Super Bowl in New Orleans.
Travis Kelce Sparks Hollywood Rumors With Big Post-NFL Plans

Meanwhile, a Page Six report suggests Kelce's inner circle may already be preparing for a post-football chapter in entertainment.
According to the news outlet, signs point to behind-the-scenes efforts aimed at positioning the NFL star for opportunities in Hollywood.
Insiders claim Kelce's longtime managers, twin brothers Aaron and André Eanes, have been quietly expanding their presence in Los Angeles. The pair, who have guided Kelce's career since his college days, were reportedly spotted mingling at Zooey Deschanel's holiday party on December 13.
Sources say the brothers spent time in conversation with "The White Lotus" producer David Bernad, sparking speculation about potential projects in development.
"It looks like they have a project on the go," one industry insider claimed, further adding fuel to ongoing rumors that Kelce could soon venture into reality television or other on-screen pursuits.
