Former MSNBC personality Joy Reid has taken another shot at Erika Kirk.

This time, the political commentator fired back at the widow over her comments at a TPUSA event held last week.

Joy Reid had previously criticized Erika Kirk for her viral hug with Vice President J.D. Vance during an earlier event for the nonprofit.

Joy Reid tore into Erika Kirk on a recent episode of her show, which aired a day after the widow referenced her in a statement at a TPUSA event.

Erika had said that Reid needed a "really good hug," a statement that seemed like a lighthearted response to the backlash she received from Reid over her viral hug with V.P. J.D. Vance.

However, in response, Reid declined the offer and gave a detailed, scathing explanation as to why she didn't want a hug from the mother of two.

"The last thing I will say to Erika Kirk is this: Dear young lady, I don't need a hug from you," Reid said, per the New York Post. "First of all, I would never let you get close enough to hug me 'cause I don't trust you."

"And second of all, I don't know if anybody ever told you – you're pretty young – but don't be offering to touch Black women's hair. We don't allow it. This is not the 19-teens. It's not the 1920s or the 1930s," the podcaster continued, referencing Erika's added remark about touching the back of Reid's head just like she did for Vance.

In addition to criticizing Erika over the hug remarks, Reid also doubled down on a previous statement suggesting Vice President J.D. Vance would eventually leave his "Brown Hindu" wife, Usha, for a "White queen" like Erika.

The podcaster originally made the comment while speculating about Vance's prospects of becoming president once Donald Trump's term comes to an end.

Reid has now clarified her remarks, insisting they were not racist, as many presumed. Instead, she claimed she was highlighting what she described as the racist nature of the MAGA base and how a hypothetical relationship between Vance and Erika would help bolster the V.P.'s future electoral appeal.

"MAGA is the one doing the racism. Not me. All I'm saying is the ultimate MAGA fairytale would be for JD to leave Usha Vance alone and go run off with Charlie Kirk's widow. It brings like the houses of MAGA together," Reid shared.

Reid also offered advice to Erika regarding her new role as CEO of the nonprofit left behind by her late husband, Charlie Kirk.

According to the podcaster, Erika should focus her efforts on appealing to "white Christian nationalists."

The statement appeared to reference recent backlash from some of Charlie's supporters, who have struggled to reconcile the widow's recent string of public appearances with her responsibilities as a single mother to the children she shared with Charlie.

"You need to take care of minding your business, which is to keep that $80 million rolling in and figure out how you're going to get those White Christian nationalists who follow Turning Point USA to understand why you working and not home with your children, who now don't have a daddy," Reid said.

Regarding the viral hug with Vance, Erika addressed the moment during a Megyn Kelly Live event last month. She explained that she hugged Vance that way because physical touch is her love language.

Erika then went on to give a detailed, moment-by-moment account of the interaction, including what she and the Vice President discussed while they embraced.

"I'm walking over, he's walking over. I'm starting to cry," the TPUSA ceo shared with the listeners. "He says, 'He's so proud of you.' And I say, 'God bless you,' and I touched the back of his head."

Erika added, "Anyone who I have hugged, that I have touched the back of your head when I hug you, I always say, 'God bless you.' That's just me — if you want to take that out of context, go ahead."

Since Erika took over TPUSA after her husband's passing, conspiracy theories seem to have exploded about the circumstances surrounding the right-wing activist's death.

These theories have been majorly fueled by remarks made by individuals like Candace Owens, who have huge platforms.

Reacting to the wild claims, Erika directly told the Owens and other conspiracy theorists to "stop" during her CBS town hall with editor-in-chief, Bari Weiss.

"Stop. That's it. That's all I have to say. Stop," the mother of two said. She and Owens later had a private meeting after which they stated on social media that they had come to an understanding, with Owens even saying they exchanged "intel."
