It’s 2021 and Shane Dawson still can’t catch a break.

Despite apologizing for his controversial past and subsequent social media hiatus, the once very famous YouTuber is still being criticized for his every move.

Whether it be a quick update to his Instagram or an appearance in his fiancé Ryland Adams’ vlogs, not many people are happy seeing Shane’s face.

That’s the cancel culture world we live in.

Anyways, Ryland recently uploaded a vlog to his YouTube channel titled, “Our House Needs… HELP.”

In the video, Ryland and Shane take viewers around their home to show off how much junk and clutter they have, and basically reveal they’re hoarders in the making.

With the goal of decluttering at hand, Shane continues to defend why their house NEEDS all the knick-knacks.

“See but every single knick-knack has a purpose. There’s a reason. Like, they all have a reason for being here. They bring us happiness,” the YouTuber said while taking viewers through their living room.

As the couple makes their way from room to room showing the before and after of cleaning up, they end up in Shane’s beauty room.

And this is where it gets messy. Not in a cluttered sense, but in a people are PISSED sense.

From behind the camera, Shane begins showing off his makeup collection. He claims to still receive merchandise from fellow beauty YouTuber and good friend Jeffree Star.

Jeffree's makeup merch is what makes up a majority of Shane's cosmetics collection.

“I made boxes for donations. I have a friend who donates makeup and she organizes it and all that stuff,” he said. “So, I filled a trash bag and these two huge boxes.”

When Ryland tries to pick up a box and move it, he claims it weighs 60 pounds. While the other box weighs between 70 and 80 pounds.

Some fans were not vibing with Shane’s generous ways and began to mock him, claiming this was proof he only got into the beauty world to make money.

One fan wrote, “but the point is that if Shane loved makeup as much as he said, he would keep more than just his J* collection. He insisted for months that he loved makeup and that the conspiracy palette wasn't a cash grab, but to get rid of it all now except the J* stuff is sus.”

Another person commented, “I’m sorry, but I remember being a Shane/Jeffree fan at the time (wow times have changed) and even then I thought it was a cash grab... Shane was so greasy with bad skin and never wore makeup, I was baffled.”

Whether or not Shane was solely in the beauty business for money or out of pure passion, it’ll be interesting to see when he returns to YouTube and what content he'll be creating.
