Cher, 79, Shocks Fans With Her Youthful Appearance In New Video After Refuting Wedding Rumors

Legendary singer Cheris in the news over her ageless look, which she flaunted in a promo for an upcoming "SNL" episode.

The septuagenarian left fans stunned by her remarkably youthful, wrinkle-free appearance that belies her advanced age.

Recently, Cher also had to refute rumors about her having plans to get married to her boyfriend, Alexander "A.E." Edwards.

On Thursday, "SNL" revealed that Cher will be a musical guest on the December 20 episode of the show, sharing a promo video on Instagram featuring the pop goddess alongside Ariana Grande and Bowen Yang.

While Cher was dressed quite stylishly in a glittering blue blouse in the footage, it was her taut, wrinkle-free look that stole the show.

Unsurprisingly, many fans rushed to the comment section to express their surprise at the singer's appearance, which seems to be defying natural aging.

"Cher is a vampire, bruh she has not aged," one user noted, while a second remarked, "Cher looking just as fabulous as ever."

"I'll be happy to look half as good as Cher and have half her energy when I'm 7," a third netizen remarked.

"Can we just talk about how Cher is SEVENTY-NINE years old and still looks like a goddess???" one more fan wrote.

Cher's youthful appearance is largely attributed to the various cosmetic procedures she has undergone over the years.

She has been open about many of these surgeries, with her candidness dating back to at least 1984, when she discussed her first in an interview with British broadcaster Terry Wogan.

"You admit to one thing and then everyone has you doing everything," Cher said at the time, per New Beauty. "I mean, I've had one thing done."

"This is not to say I wouldn't, if I needed to have something done, I would certainly be the first one in the line to the doctor," she added.

Four years after first speaking out about plastic surgery, Cher gave an update about how many more surgeries she has had while trying to dispel rumors about having her ribs removed.

"I've been upfront about saying that I had my nose done, my breasts done, and had braces on my teeth," the singer revealed. "The rest is nonsense."

In 2018, Cher then shared that she had also had a facelift, which was likely done to help deal with old-age wrinkles.

"Yes, I have had a facelift, but who hasn't?" she noted at the time in a chat with the Daily Mail.

Earlier in the month, rumors swirled that Cher was keen on getting married to her beau, Alexander' AE' Edwards, despite the 40-year age gap between them.

According to the reports obtained by The Mirror, the singer "set her heart" on it happening around her next birthday in May 2026.

"She sees her upcoming celebration at turning 80 as the perfect time for her and Alexander to seal the deal," an insider shared.

"Cher doesn't give a hoot about their age difference, and they're both ready to commit to each other," they added.

Unfortunately, fans who may have been eager to see the wedding come to fruition were left disappointed when a rep for Cher later denied the wedding rumors.

"There is absolutely no plans for a wedding in her future," the spokesperson told Gossip List.

Despite the wedding rumors not being true, it changes nothing about the bond the couple has shared ever since they began dating three years ago.

Most recently, Cher opened up about how much affection she has for Edwards while speaking with Gayle King on the US daytime TV chat show, CBS Mornings.

"You know, you get older, but your spirit is younger. I just love him. I think he's beautiful and he's really talented," she told the host during the sit-down.

At the time, Cher also revealed she was unbothered by the backlash they had received over their age-gap romance. Cher is 79, while Edwards is 39.

"They're not living my life. Nobody knows what goes on between us. We just have a blast," she further remarked.
