According to multiple reports, Baby and Harden were in the french city for Paris Fashion Week when their van was pulled over by the police. Apparently, Harden and several other men were swarmed by cops during an apparent search while they were traveling on the popular Avenue Montaigne.
A video is going viral on social media, showing the Brooklyn Nets star pleaded with the authorities saying he “doesn’t understand” while cops are beginning their search. At the same time, Paparazzi snapped photos of the ongoing incident which showed Lil’ Baby seated in the back of a police van and appeared to be handcuffed. According to local reports, Baby was among three individuals arrested on marijuana-related charges. The story claims the van was traveling when it was pulled over and the cops could smell the weed. Following the search, according to the report, officers found 20 grams of marijuana.

Interestingly, in one of the shots taken by photographers, you can see one of the officers holding up a vape pen, but it’s unclear if it contained any weed-related products.
Paris Police Department isn’t giving any information to the media, apparently just answering that it is an ongoing investigation.

This isn’t the first time Lil’ Baby has had issues with law enforcement, back in 2019, he was arrested in Atlanta, Georgia for reckless driving and eluding police. At the time, the 24-year-old rapper was pulled over for failing to use a turn signal, and a trooper says he “observed an orange Chevrolet Corvette fail to signal when changing lanes. It increased its speed and began passing vehicles in a reckless manner in a high pedestrian area.” At that point, the officer claims he began “weaving between cars at a high rate of speed. As the trooper began to catch up, the Corvette got stuck in heavy traffic. … As the trooper got behind the vehicle, he attempted to accelerate and change lanes.”
In a similar fashion, a video circulated on social media showing the rapper lying facedown on the street while being handcuffed by the officer.
It’s unclear exactly what the laws are in Paris, France about consuming or carrying marijuana, but it appears it is not exactly legal like in parts of the United States. It’s possible the crew will get nothing more than a ticket for the offense.
